The Jensen Family Legacy
FYI, this story will unfortunately remain unfinished because I no longer play The Sims 3 (due to horrible lag in only my second generation). My Sims 4 legacy story can be found here.
New? Start Here. The girls decided to throw a teen party while their parents were away. They wanted to meet some more boys. I swear, all these girls ever talk about anymore is boys. This is Geneva, Emily's best friend since middle school. Who is that cute blond boy you wonder? Unfortunately he's a cousin, so he's off-limits. This is little Corbin Svard all grown up. He's still adorable. Those two in the background making out are Gilbert and Regina. Ever since they started dating last month, neither one can keep their hands off the other. This cute boy is Scott, but he didn't seem very interested in any of the Jensen girls. That is too bad because he'd make cute babies. Sandra made friends with a boy named Mitchel Oss, the boy Christina had tutored. Apparently he was trying out a new hair color so no one recognized him at first. Sandra, feeling rebellious, showed him embarrassing videos of her older sisters. She better pray Minnie doesn't find out or she's in for a screaming match. The skinny white girl in a pink skirt is Gilbert's sister, Eliza. Minnie and Eliza are pretty good friends. Gilbert and Regina were told to stop making out in public and get a room. So they did. That igloo has been grossly misused, repeatedly. The dark-skinned boy is Benny, Sandra's and Christina's gay friend. They like to talk about which boys they think are the cute and which girls wear ugly clothes. Meet Jonathon Helgason. He's friendly and sociable, but he's a total klutz. Emily met him when he fell off the stage at a school band concert; he fell into her lap, literally. She's been smitten ever since. Even after Gilbert and Regina did the nasty in the igloo, there were still all over each other. Teen hormones! Minnie's friend Eliza introduced her to her new boyfriend Garrett. But unfortunately for Eliza, they hit it off rather well. Minnie was selfish enough to continue flirting with Garrett while Eliza watched. Oddly Eliza didn't seem too concerned about it. I again heard woohoo sounds... Seriously you guys? Eliza just sat down and started doing her homework as Minnie and Garrett hugged each other romantically. It wasn't until Minnie asked him to break up with her that she became furious. Who can figure teenage girls out?

New? Start Here. That same night, Christina got up the nerve to tell Ivan that she's had a crush on him since the 6th grade. She was quite smooth with the confession, which surprised her. Ivan smiled sheepishly saying, "I don't know what to say Christina... but I I mean... I just never thought... I didn't know you felt the same way..." Feeling daring, Christina interrupted his stuttering with a kiss. It's all or nothing, she thought. Jordan was shocked, but happily so. He's always been quite shy. "I knew if I never made a move you'd just keep staring at me in math class." Christina laughed. And then, Ivan kissed her, deep and long. They agreed to make it official by updating their Simbook status to "boyfriend and girlfriend." Emily overheard the exchange and snuck up to Ivan after Christina had left the room. "I saw you flirting with Julie last week at the park and now you're kissing my sister?" She protested. "What sort of loser leads two girls on like that?" First of all, Ivan thought, this is none of her business. Secondly, "Julie was flirting with me and I wasn't interested," he corrected. Emily had no idea how long Ivan had been dreaming of kissing Christina, how dare she butt in? "I think the party is over." Emily said, showing him to the door. If he hurt her sister she would kill him. It was getting late and most of the guests had left, so Kyle whipped out the birthday cake Lexie had hidden in the fridge. He wanted to surprise Daniel and ended up surprising the girls too. All the kids had forgotten Daniel was aging up today. He is a beautiful boy isn't he? He gained the Loves the Heat trait to add to his Grumpy and Insane traits. His childhood should be interesting. Oh for goodness sake Gilbert and Regina; the party is over and you're disrupting a wholesome family celebration. They both did the strut of an off-home-lot woohoo, but they didn't make it past the mailbox before they did it again. She's going to end up pregnant if they don't slow down. I think three times in one night is plenty. They were asked to leave the property at that point (IDK why no one thought to kick them out sooner). Even though Daniel is a big boy now, he still loves his doll. Now that he can communicate well, he corrected the entire family that she is not a he and her name is Macy, not Mr. Mac. Daniel was given a chemistry set for his birthday, which he loved. He spent nearly all his free time playing with chemicals. And this is what you get Kyle and Lexie, if you leave a child unattended playing with noxious mixtures.
New? Start Here. I think Kyle partied too hard on Snowflake Day because he spent the next day in bed. The rest of the family enjoyed their free time at various venues around town. This is Ian Douglas, who has a huge crush on Sandra. Well at least that's what Emily said who heard it from Geneva, who heard it from Regina, who heard it from Scott. "Hey Sandra, I'm so glad you agreed to hang out with me at the festival. You look nice," Ian stuttered. He's a bit Neurotic. "Thanks Ian," Sandra smiled. She'd only agreed to go on this date to be nice. "You look very... um... warm," she finished lamely. Her attraction rating to Ian is a 1 out of 10, which is too bad because he's actually pretty cute. "I know what could heat things up more." Ian flirted. Sandra made a face at him, Is he serious? she wondered. "Hot chocolate," Ian breathed in a forced seductive voice. Sandra made a confused face and fidgeted with a piece of lint she'd found in her pocket. I think he was trying to make a joke... I think. "Umm, yeah that probably would warm me up, heh heh." She forced a laugh and then suggested, "Lets do something fun." She needed the awkward conversation to end, now. It turns out Sandra is as talented at snowboarding as her mother and she realized she was actually having fun on this date. Maybe that had to do with snowboarding being a solo activity. Afterward, Ian suggested they build a snowman, and Sandra obliged. He's a really sweet boy, but I just don't feel anything for him, Sanda sighed, feeling guilty. Her toes were starting to get cold. "Well, thanks for the fun night out Ian, but I've got to get going." I can't lead him on, she decided. "Yeah... yeah" Ian stumbled, surprised by her abruptly ending the date. "Maybe we could do this again sometime, well I mean, not exactly this, but you know, like hang out or something." He looked so hopeful and Sandra didn't want to break his heart, but she smiled and said, "Yeah sure, Ian, as friends." His face went blank for a couple seconds and then he nodded with understanding. His cheeks went scarlet and he muttered something about having to get home also. Back home, Daniel felt neglected. He hadn't been allowed to join the party the night before, for fear of him getting trampled on. "Don't worry Danny. Sissy is here," cooed Emily. Daniel is doted upon by his older sisters. And to wrap up the evening, Lexie decided to electrocute herself on the broken dish washer. I'm sorry that happened to you Lexie, but at least you didn't die. Please don't die yet; I don't want to lose the challenge on generation one. Kyle helped her feel better, in their favorite romantic spot, the shower.
New? Start Here. Snowflake Day has arrived! Lexie and Kyle still remember their first holiday together, feeling as in love as they ever have. It's amazing that they have such a healthy relationship with both of their early life experiences. They threw a party and invited nearly everyone they knew. There was a good turn out! It seemed like everyone was in the mood to woohoo and had no shame about it. Both couples shown here woohood in Kyle and Lexie's bed! Emily was excited to play for such a large crowd and she did a great job. Kyle's heart was overflowing with pride. A lot of guests played outside and built some fun stuff, like this snowman and that igloo. It looks like Easter gnome is enjoying the snow too. Oh and there was this good-looking guy (Tom Birch), who unfortunately is married. While that sucks for the gen 2 heir, he and his wife will likely make some cute kids for gen 3. On a weird note, he and his wife both have the evil trait -and- Marian Day married Tom's brother Adam. Oh and did I mention everyone was woohooing at this party? Yes, this is couple number 3 I caught being inappropriate. And if people weren't woohooing, they were certainly making out and/or flirting. You would think this was a Love Day party or something. And here is couple number 4 soiling Lexie and Kyle's sheets further. Ooh he is handsome! Emily, go make nice with him and see if he's single. Apparently his name is Evan Clark and he also has the virtuoso trait, just like her. It turns out he's the son of Jesse Clark, a guy Lexie had flirted with at the pool back in part 3. "So Evan, are you dating anyone?" Emily asked hopefully, not noticing the obvious ring on his finger. In a very friendly, yet platonic way, he said, "Well actually I've been married for one year now and we have a son together." Lexie's heart sank, but they continued talking about favorite bands for quite some time. And here we have couple number 5 doing the nasty in the overly-used igloo. Eww Despite all the woohooing, the party was quite festive and everyone had fun. Well, maybe because of the woohooing the guests had fun. That was just bizarre.
New? Start Here. Christina, being a genius, works at the school as a tutor for extra credit. She was working with an awkward boy named Mitchel one evening when his mother came home. Christina has one star of fame as a result of being Kyle's daughter, and Officer Oss was quiet excited to make her acquaintance. "Hi, um yeah. Can I ask you something?" Christina started. "Could you please give my mom a break on the arrests or something? She just has this thing about spray painting. It's like, compulsive or something." Officer Oss didn't really know what to say... ...so Christina decided to make them dinner in hopes that it would help her case. Mitchel and Christina ate outside in the cold, for some unknown reason. Who knows why Sims do the crazy stuff they do. That same night, Sandra and Minnie went out to the bowling alley to have some fun. Minnie was pretty addicted to the arcade games. Guess who they bumped into. Jenny Day! She aged up into a fairly pretty young adult. "Hey what's up sis?" Sandra said in greeting. "I saw that guy you were with leaving. He looked mad... what was that about?" Jenny sighed. "He's my recently-ex boyfriend. I just couldn't see it going anywhere between us, you know?" Jenny explained. "Well hey, Minnie and I are going to play a couple games if you want to join us." Sandra invited. She's always looked up to Jenny. Jenny seems to be thinking more and more about her future, though still isn't having much luck with men. But at least she's good at bowling. The girls had a blast that night and forgot all about boys. Well, Minnie had a bit of a rough time bowling, but this was her first try. The next night, Sandra cleaned up around the house in preparation for a family holiday celebration. It's been really nice having someone who loves to clean. Lexie took the opportunity to show off her culinary skills. Lexie used to hate the holidays back when she lived with her mother, but now it's her favorite time of year. She is truly blessed to have such beautiful, healthy daughters.
New? Start Here. This is an adorable picture, but again, why do people have to be closer to the camera than others. Minnie looks like a giant. Minnie had a really great idea for a party to celebrate Sandra and Christina's birthday, a teen party to welcome them into the world of high school drama. Lexie got to work baking homemade cakes. Emily seemed to be having a good time with Garrett, Jenny's ex-boyfriend. This might break sister code, but on the other hand, Jenny has dated nearly every boy at school. Kyle and Lexie did a great job of embarrassing their kids by making out in front of their friends. These two can't seem to keep their hands off each other no matter how long they've been together. I always find them showering together. Here comes the magical aging dance... Gorgeous Sandra gained the Neat trait to add to Eccentric, Artistic, and Easily Impressed. Adorable Christina gained the Cat Person trait, to add to Absent-Minded, Excitable, Genius. Perhaps she'll talk her parents into buying a cat. It turns out Emily and Sandra are pretty good dancers. What is Emily not good at? Despite receiving a lot of love and attention... Daniel plays on his own a lot. He loves his doll he got in the mail from some great aunt of Kyle's. Everyone has taken to calling him Mr. Mac. The family has an art room because there are so many artists. I really adore Emily's paintings and am starting to wonder if they paint different paintings based on age (not just children, but teenagers too). Lexie continues to take unnecessary risks, such as spray painting school property on a Saturday. Luckily no one saw her. I really like her artwork though and she's super close to completing her LTW of painting 7 masterpiece murals.
New? Start Here. This is one of my favorite paintings and Emily painted it. She's amazingly talented. To the left is a masterpiece Kyle is working on and to the right is Lexie's Lona Misa masterpiece. I really love that one also. Emily has been coming into her own more, following Minnie less and focusing on her own pursuits. She's already level 4 at the guitar and Kyle is a proud parent. Sandra continues to toil her free time away inventing things. I think the universe is telling you to take a break hon. Daniel continues to be a delight, despite his grumpiness and insanity. And Lexie continues to try out every recipe known to Sim-kind. No one is complaining. These two girls are pretty inseparable, just like Emily and Minnie were at this age. Doesn't her snowball look like a ghost snowball? Jenny and Emily have gotten to be good friends now that they're both teenagers. "Can you break up with my boyfriend for me?" Jenny asked. "Um, no that is weird. Just text him if you don't want to tell him in person." Emily countered. I think Emily is more mature than her older sister, but she's always acted old for her age. Nonetheless, the girls like having an older sister who's a senior because it's helped their transition to high school go more smoothly. Emily whips out her guitar anytime I leave her unattended. She loves music as much as Kyle. I still don't know what her lifetime aspiration will be. Minnie has already decided that she wants a Perfect Aquarium with 13 unique and perfect fish on display. That's going to be a challenge. Oh for goodness sakes you two. Go be romantic in your bedroom for once. The bathroom is where you poo and shower. Sandra found a neighbor boy playing on their treehouse and asked him what he was doing. Apparently he "ran away" from home (2 houses down) and decided to sleep in their treehouse. His secret escape won't be kept a secret for long with this creepy paparazzi around. If you saw a dude in your backyard snapping pictures of your kid, would you not call the police?
New? Start Here. Kyle has painted several beautiful pictures that I've kept. I particularly liked this one of a mage becuase I love fantasy. This one was painted just in time for the new baby's room. At least Lexie didn't go into labor at the easel again. Welcome to the Jensen family Daniel! We're so thrilled to have a boy, finally. Lexie decided she was glad she got knocked up on accident. The very next day after Daniel joined the family, Emily and Minnie aged up to teenagers. I love the look of trepidation on both their faces. Minnie gained the Green Thumb trait to add to Angler, Loves the Outdoors, and Neurotic, a rather good combination. Emily also gained the Green Thumb trait, to add to Bookworm, Virtuoso, and Artistic. Too bad winter just started or I'd have them plant a garden. It's odd they both rolled the same trait. Emily, ambitious as ever, asked Kyle to teach her to drive right away, despite the icy road conditions. Both girls were given (modest) cars for their birthdays. It pays to be the kids of a Rock Star. Minnie fell in love with Daniel. I thought it was really sweet how much she took to him, always sneaking into his room to cuddle and coo. The Jensen house is ready for the holidays with their festive lights and happy snowman. The teens threw a party to meet some more kids their age. They had a blast even though just a few Sims showed up. They really don't know anyone in high school yet. Jenny seems to have broken up with her old boyfriend and has moved on rather quickly. Teenagers.... Daniel piggy-backed on their party to celebrate his birthday. Daniel gained the Grumpy and Insane traits. Our only boy is going to be a challenge. But at least he's a cute challenge. :-)
New? Start Here. "Even after all these years I still love you as much as I did the day we married," whispered Kyle to Lexie in the bathroom. Lexie suggested they have some alone time in the shower together before the girls woke up. I'm honestly not sure why they tend to get romantic in the bathroom. Maybe it's nostalgia for their first time together. Just as they were finishing up, they heard the girls grab breakfast from the fridge. They were all excited for Spooky Day. (If you can't tell, Halloween is my favorite holiday). Here Minnie is again, playing in the sand despite the chilly weather. Honestly it gets annoying constantly finding them outside and bringing them back inside only to change their clothes and leave a laundry pile on the floor. Meanwhile, Emily hosted a lovely tea party with the spooky bears. She's already practicing to be a good hostess. Later that morning, Minnie went fishing and caught her first fish! She is an Angler so I thought it was only fair to let her roam free at the coastline for a day. Emily continues to progress quickly in the painting skill. I was pretty impressed with this one. She's a bit of a protege. Sandra went to the junk yard to gather scrap. Kyle bought her a workbench and she can't wait to try it out. Even in the rain, Minnie refused to stop fishing. Notice the weirdo in the background? He just stood there all creepy-like for an hour. Why are you wading in the ocean, in the rain, with an umbrella, in shark infested waters? Kyle's been focusing on his physique now that he's mastered the guitar and piano. He has to keep up his looks for his career. And Lexie is devoting a lot of free time to learning all the new recipes she can get her hands on. She's maxed the cooking skill and is going to be the family cook until she passes away. Christina mainly plays all day. It is really annoying how much they "hold royal court" only because they change outfits and leave clothes on the floor (we have a theme going). Plus the hairdo looks horrible. Sandra was so eager to try out her workbench that she didn't even take off her outerwear before getting to work inventing things. I found Lexie in the bathroom hurling. This is what happens when you use the woohooer mod and replace the woohoo with risky woohoo. They were done having kids, or so they thought. The family went to the festival again because everyone had had so much fun the day before and it was Spooky Day after all. This is what the girls ate for dinner. Christina and Minnie look quite shocked about the fact that they were covered in pie. So funny! Sandra won but was humble about it. And of course Kyle ran straight to the face-painting booth and embarrassed his daughters with his weirdness. I swear, if I don't watch him every minute at a festival he always gets his face painted. All Lexie is going to eat for the next 3 days is apples. They HAVE to have a boy this time. Hopefully it's not another set of twins! And at the end of a fun-filled afternoon, I realized the festival has no toilets. Poor Christina was embarrassed for days! That will teach her to go to a haunted house when she has to pee. Spooky day came and went... some lovely children ruined their pumpkins. I also learned (after the fact) that your Sims cannot trick or treat with home-opener installed, unless it's disabled. So, no trick or treating this year. :-(
New? Start Here. The Jensen family finally had enough money for a washer and dryer! Not having to go to the laundromat anymore was deserving of a picture. The girls are attracted to that sandbox like nothing else, rain or shine. Luckily today is a nice day. Lexie is throwing a Spooky Day Party for adults tonight and has been busy baking all morning in preparation. Yummy! With Fall quickly coming to an end, the family decided to go get their picture taken at the festival to have pictures of their young family when they are old and gray. This was the baby girls' first trip to the festival! There wasn't really much for them to do there though and they got cranky quickly. This is the hilarious picture on the side of the photo booth. LOL! I generally like the picture but Minnie looks abnormally large because she's sitting so close to the camera. Kyle saw his brother Stefen at the festival. He and his family are doing well. They had another baby, this time a girl named Amelia, but he left her at home with mom so they didn't get to meet her yet. They had to rush home because the Spooky Day party was starting. That is Jenny on the right with the alien mask. That's a horrible costume with only a mask... This hot dog dude asked Lexie to dance and she agreed because he was old and she didn't want to be rude. But he had poor boundaries and she quickly became uncomfortable. Fortunately Kyle saw them dancing and rescued her by cutting in. She told him that she suspects she might be pregnant, which was unplanned (I replaced woohoo with risky). Kyle seems thrilled about it but she was a bit upset. She was looking forward to her children aging up, giving her some more free time. Suddenly everyone realized it was Sandra's and Christina's birthday, so we all pretended like the party was for them. Big sissy Jenny took it upon herself to help out, which I thought was adorable. Happy sparkle dances... This is Sandra, who gained the Eccentric trait to add to her Easily Impressed, Artistic and traits. We seem to have gained an inventor in the family. This is Christina who gained the Excitable trait to add to her Absent Minded and Genius traits. The excitable trait is nice for mood buffs but the absent minded thing drives me crazy because she often drops her entire queue of stuff to do. Apparently the party was pretty dull compared to their toddler birthday party. Even Lexie was yawning - at her own party! Kyle tried to spice things up a bit by performing. He's fairly famous now but not yet at the top. But it didn't really work and most of the guests left early. It's so hard to tell what will make a party good or bad. Does anyone know what contributes to it besides the guests' moods and having fun things for them to do?
New? Start Here. I'm not sure who this Sim is but I'm glad she's enjoying Minnie's yummy muffins. No slumber party is complete without a few ghost stories. Emily and Stacey are pretty good friends now. They snuck away to tell secrets about each other's siblings. "You know Minnie never takes her headband off. She wears it in the bathtub and to bed. It's starting to smell funny." Emily sniggered. Soon it was pumpkin carving time! I wish there were a way to invite guests to carve pumpkins with you. Kyle introduced himself to Jenny's boyfriend Fredrick. "Are you two being safe?" Kyle asked, embarrassingly. The two teens awkwardly ended the conversation after that. Emily's pumpkin turned out horrible and she was really upset. Lexie lit it in hopes that she might like it better. "It's not that bad," Lexie consoled. "It is too!" yelled Emily and stomped the pumpkin to pieces. Woops! Emily didn't know that would happen. Hurry quick, put yourself out! Thank goodness there was a shower nearby. Apparently you can't put yourself out in a bathtub if it has no shower. Well, here are their creations for better or for worse. Lexie went to check on the girls who were just waking up from a nap. "How are you this evening Miss Sandy?" Lexie cooed. This is the most participation you can expect from toddler Sims in carving a pumpkin. Lexie didn't want them to feel left out. Here's the final product, displayed outside in wait of Spooky Day, which is in 2 days. Some of the kids decided to play in the treehouse despite the chilly temperature. What a view! I love how it shows them playing together in the treehouse. It's adorable. As soon as the clock chimed 11 pm, all the kids passed out like clockwork. Goodnight cute littles, sweet dreams.
P.S. The reason I named this Fire Night is because my son (age 5 at the time) and niece (age 4 at the time) lit a fire in my house one overnight I was tending her. They got up in the middle of the night, filled a candle with tissues, and set the whole thing on fire. The glass cracked and hot flaming wax spread everywhere. Luckily the fire alarm woke me and I was able to eventually put it out. The whole thing was terrifying and traumatic for all involved. The kids now refer to it as "Fire Night," which is a nickname they came up with on their own and I thought was cute. New? Start Here. After Lexie finished her artwork, she looked up to see Marian, who seemed to have aged up to an elder. Thinking it was time to put their past behind them, Lexie went up to her to start a friendly conversation. "You know Marian, we've not been on good terms for years now but we have something really important in common: our love for Jenny. Do you think we could start over?" Lexie asked with a hopeful smile. "Well I would," shrugged Marian, "except for the fact that you're a home-wrecking little slut who ruined my life." Lexie was dumbfounded. How could a mature woman like Marian still hold such a strong grudge. She didn't know what to say. Marian smirked and walked away. "You know what?" Lexie called after her, "I'm going to be the bigger person here and tell you that I hope you change your mind someday." Feeling upset all over again, Lexie went to the fire station and began a mural in dedication of the help the free food and bed had given her when she was young and scared. Unfortunately, she really was being watched and was arrested again. This really is likely the worst day of Lexie's life. Seeing as how mom got arrested, the girls were let off the hook for skipping school and Emily was allowed to throw a Spooky Day slumber party. Everyone spent the day decorating the house for Spooky Day. So fun! Just before the guests arrived, Minnie prepared some of her famous muffins to share. There was a pretty good turn out for the party. Even Jenny stopped by to say hi. She aged up without telling anyone. Well, she's kind of cute still. Her traits are Friendly, Coward, Light Sleeper, and Never Nude. That last trait shouldn't even be a trait in this game it's so dumb. Lexie took the opportunity to apologize for what happened with Marian (Jenny's mother) the day before. "You should have just left things alone Lexie. I told you she will never change. Now she's yelling at me for seeing you guys." Jenny sighed. "I had to get out of the house because she won't stop yelling." Jenny explained. "Wow Jenny I really didn't mean to do that, I..." "Save your sorries Lexie. I'm upset with you for meddling. Please don't do it again." Jenny said, rather maturely.
New? Start Here. "Good morning little dinosaurs. It's a school day you know, so you need to change into normal clothing." Lexie yelled as she headed outside to check out their new object. Someone mailed them a Pea Shooter because they're famous, so I set it on their lawn to see what it does. Apparently if you attack it you turn into a zombie. Woops! Sorry Lexie. Inevitably you pass out and turn back to normal. Thank goodness. The girls got to school, but before going inside, Minnie asked Emily to ditch school today. "It's raining and I like to play in the rain. Plus school is so boring! Will you come with me?" Emily, being a follower, agreed without a second thought and asked, "Where are we going?" They hurried off to the Fall Festival for some holiday fun. Little did they know that's where Lexie had headed off to this morning. The haunted house was much more scary than Lexie remembered, so scary it made her sick. Either that or she's knocked up again. I'm not sure which honestly. Having spotted there mom hurling (they were attracted to the sound like the other onlookers), Minnie and Emily promptly freaked out and ran to the other side of the street. "Whew!" Minnie gasped. "That was a close one" Emily agreed but added, "I hope mom is OK." "Of course she's OK Em," Minnie smiled. "It's a good thing she was too distracted to notice us though." "Yeah but I feel bad about this. I'm going home," whispered Emily, looking down. Minnie rolled her eyes but followed her home nonetheless. It turns out dad wasn't as forgiving as Emily had thought he'd be. "Please explain to me why you thought it was a good idea to skip school to play at the park?" Kyle said sternly, raising his voice. "I- I'm sorry dad. Minnie wanted to go to the festival and... I guess I wasn't thinking." Emily felt terrible. Minnie was less guilty about the whole situation explaining that going to festival had been a much better idea than boring old school. Kyle let them both eat lunch but made them go to school for the rest of the afternoon. Both were in big trouble! Lexie was having a pretty rough day so she decided to do something to cheer herself up, paint in the park... er paint on the park. Crap! Where did she come from? Lexie cringed. This is the worst day of my life. Lexie said nothing to the officer, who was actually quite friendly about the whole situation. "Now Lexie, I really don't want to have to arrest you again. Your artwork is beautiful, but I can't allow you to deface public property." Officer Mayland said pleasantly. "Yeah, OK. I hear you. I'll go home," lied Lexie, looking away. Regardless of the "Feeling Watched" moodlet, Lexie went straight back to the part to finish what she'd started. I wonder where Minnie gets her rebellious nature from...
New? Click Here. Here's a random picture of Summer Gnome. He cost 500 tickets at the festival and there's one for every season. I made Kyle and Lexie get the LTR of Festival Frequenter to get more tickets to help me collect gnomes. I have this thing about collecting gnomes. Lexie also got the LTR of Collection Helper and has been out finding rocks and gems. So, I bought her a gem cutter to increase their value to sell them at the consignment store for a nice profit. Beautiful! At some point we'll start our own collection of pretty things, but until all the house upgrades are done, they sell nearly everything they can. Kyle continues to work his butt off to earn the family extra cash on his days off. And Lexie has been trying her hand at sketching, though it doesn't bring in as much money. I really liked this sketch so I kept it. Here's the very first picture Emily drew. Adorable! I hung it up in their room. I loved Emily's second painting, which demonstrates her quickly growing artistic ability quite well. And since everyone else was doing it, Minnie wanted to do it too. Kyle bought another easel. One evening, Lexie was tickling Sandra while Kyle was teaching Christina to walk. Christina got jealous that Lexie wasn't teaching her how to walk because she wanted mommy and not daddy right then. Kyle tried to calm her down, so she bit him, hard. As you can see, he was quite disgruntled about it. (He's listening to a tabcast, hence the GIANT thing in his ear). Lexie encouraged Kyle to take a break in the rocking chair for a bit while she had a serious talk with Christina about biting. Kids always seem to bite a lot at this age. Christina really didn't want to listen and just kept crying. I really hope that Christina doesn't become a "problem child" because raising kids hasn't been that bad so far. Even after chillaxing in the rocking chair, Kyle still needed to blow off some steam, so he sabotaged the karaoke machine. If Lexie didn't have 10 point in the handiness skill, I'd have been really annoyed at him.
New? Start Here. Emily and Minnie spend a lot of time playing chess together, which I thought was quite weird for young girls. Good, but weird. This chapter is dedicated to Emily and Minnie's childhood. They are best friends and primarily play with each other, unless a neighbor wanders into their yard. They tell silly secrets, like how dad farted at the store and an old lady gave him a nasty look, but he pretended it wasn't him. "I love you Minnie," Emily said. "You're my best sister." "Mine too," giggled Minnie. Once these girls transformed into princesses, no one could get them to take the dang dresses off, even when they played outside in the mud. Kyle was so proud of Emily's natural artistic ability that he bought her an easel of her own. She already has 3 skill points in painting due to reading toddler books. It's fortunate these girls get along so well. Emily doesn't seem to mind letting Minnie take the lead, even when her "great idea" is checking the sink again or washing her hands 3 times. Minnie also never takes her headband off, not even in the bathtub, and no amount of prodding from mom will change her mind. Emily decided to try her hand at writing a story. My goodness Emily, you have too many aspirations to keep track of. She wants to be an artist, a writer, and a musician. Minnie as been learning to cook and stores her muffins in the fridge to help mommy feed the family in the mornings. Everyone loves her baking (she baked some perfect quality muffins)! I wanted to show you some close-ups to demonstrate that these twins are not identical. Above is Minnie; the corners of her eyes turn down like her father's. This is Emily, who I think is the prettier of the two. They are definitely fraternal twins. And no, I didn't forget about our adorable toddler twins. Above is Sandra, excited for breakfast. And here is Christina, posing pretty. I can't get enough of cute toddler Sims, and they age up so dang fast, just like in real life.
New? Click Here. It seems like just another day in the Jensen household, but today is a special day. It's Minnie's and Emily's birthday! The guests were kind enough to bring a ton of food. I'm honestly not sure why someone thought to bring a wedding cake, but those chocolate gnomes are adorable. It was a big turn out and quite a wild party... I wonder if they realized this was just a birthday party for toddlers. Look at the pregnant chic bumping and grinding with the old dude. Time for birthday wishes Minnie! She wished for more toys and more mommy-time. Sparkly dance of aging and . . . What in the? Why does everyone go cross-eyed when they age up? Maybe it's disorienting. Now that's better Minnie; you look adorable. Minnie gained the Angler trait, which goes perfectly with her Loves the Outdoors trait, maybe outweighing her Neurotic tendencies. Minnie went straight into the dining room to eat her cake, ignoring Emily's birthday candle celebration. There was a lot of chaos after all, but I'm starting to wonder if Minnie is a bit self-focused. Emily's turn to age up! Lexie felt an unnerving cold draft behind her and remembered the sensation from the time she watched a townie die in the fire station (part 2). Grim had shown up to her party seemingly just to have a good time. I'm not totally sure why he was dressed differently but it's cool to see his face. He's actually quite handsome . . . but in a totally creepy and undead way. Emily was so excited as she jumped around in the magical aging sparkles. If you pause a lot during the age transition, you will often get some hilarious pictures like this one. Aw look how pretty Emily grew up to be. Emily gained the Bookworm trait. She's Artistic, Virtuoso, and now a Book Worm. That is a lot of potential. Maybe she'll be a good choice for the heir; we'll see.
New? Start Here. OK, so we left off right after Lexie's birthday wish for more sleep. Oh no, here come the aging sparkles of doom! Well her age definitely shows more than Kyle's did. I think Sims' faces get thinner with age, which is odd because most people gain weight with age. I think she's still beautiful. (I updated her hairstyle to something more conservative). That piece of cake is bigger than Jenny is! Good luck eating the whole thing. Kyle and Jenny are spending a lot of time together these days. He loves hearing about her friends and how well she's doing in school. Kyle is working on his portrait of Lexie as a young adult that he started just before her party. Unfortunately the lighting is terrible, but there's nothing to be done about it now. To avoid being arrested for a little while, Lexie decided to graffiti her own property. Here's her first masterpiece toward her lifetime wish (LTW for future reference). The paparazzi never cease their incessant buzzing around. Even with a gate I can't keep them off the property, so I gave up trying. The next day, Kyle was more than happy to give Lexie the day off to play at the park. Well, "play" is more like vandalize in Lexie's world. I wish I'd paid attention to what level she was in the street art skill when she started putting out the tip jar. I'm curious about what level this happens so if anyone knows, please share. Does the 'Inappropriate in a Good Way' LTR (lifetime reward) help her avoid getting arrested? I took it in hopes that it might because the 1000 Simoleon fine for getting arrested gets old. I really liked this one and will leave it here in the park for posterity. I know I never told you the babies' names, and then they aged up before I realized how much time had passed. Above is Sandra, who is Easily Impressed and Artistic. This family seems to be filled with artists and musicians! And here is Christina, who is an Absent-Minded Genius. She gets her brains from Kyle. So the nursery is rather full now, though Minnie and Emily are getting close to aging up. More toddler picture spam. :-) Toddlers are the main reason I don't like the Sims 4. The aging process is the best part of the game to me. I try to keep my toddlers busy skill-building. This is what bed time looks like with the walls down. That is a lot of littles!
New? Start Here. Here's a random picture of the most recent update to the house. I really like how Kyle's picture turned out so I displayed it where everyone can see it daily. I'm sure you're wondering about the birth. It was quicker than the first and surprise! Another set of twins. And surprise! Another set of girls. Ugh! Not even one boy and one girl. Nope. Kyle is drowning in females. I can only imagine the chaos their teenage years will bring. I will now spam you with adorable toddler pictures of Minnie and Emily. Enjoy. Both of these girls are happy and playful, though I'd say Minnie (pictured above) is the more emotionally needy of the two. She always has to know where mama and daddy are. Per usual, mom and dad are in their bedroom together...painting. Ever since Kyle learned how to paint well, I put him to work as hard as Lexie. These house renovations are not cheap. The girls learned how to walk together, and now they are learning how to talk together. This picture is hilarious because I think Minnie scared Emily. Whenever Kyle is around (and not being directed to paint his life away), he always finds his way into the girls' room. He was raised by a single father with only one brother and always yearned for more females in his life. Well Kyle, your birthday wish for more baby girls came true. Now the girls are "reading" books together. Yes, I do make my toddlers skill up in every area they can so that they get an insta-skill-boost as children. And you guessed it, they even poo together (which Minnie seems to be having a tough time of). Twins, I'm told, have a special bond to each other and it's no wonder. They do everything together. So far we've had very few fights over the toys. Emily pretty much lets Minnie have first pick of the toys and is happy with whatever is left. They certainly are not lacking in toys to play with. Everyone's been so busy with all the littles in the house that we almost forgot about Lexie's birthday. Thank goodness for those pop-up notifications. Lexie's birthday wish was for a full nights rest. Maybe Kyle could take a day off work to pitch in more and give Lexie a much needed break. It was a smallish party but everyone who mattered was there. The littles all slept right through it though, and none of them have the heavy sleeper trait. I just have to ask, what the heck is her leg doing right here? Perhaps she's double jointed in both her hip and her knee? And here's another picture of adorable Jennifer. I don't think she'll grow up to be gorgeous (due to her mother's genetics) but she'll likely remain cute. Seeing genetics mix and who Sims become when they age up is my favorite part of the game.
New? Start Here. Before anyone knew it, Minnie and Emily's birthday was upon them. In true Sim style, Lexie laid her baby on the floor and awaited her transformation. In my opinion, this is one of the more odd things Sims do because they just as easily could toss the baby up into sparkles and receive a toddler in return. Minnie aged up first. Where did your shirt go Minnie? You really need a new hairstyle too. And Emily aged up looking like a boy. They both desperately needed makeovers. It just so happens that Emily's favorite color is violet, a good choice (it was my favorite color growing up). Emily gained the traits of virtuoso and artistic, a perfect combo of her mom and dad. Minnie loves pink. How fitting for two little girls. I dressed them accordingly to tell them apart, though I don't think they're identical twins. Minnie's eyes turn down more at the corners, like her dad. She gained the traits neurotic and loves the outdoors. It's bizarre to think of a toddler as neurotic. I let them play together while I made over the gender-neutral room. It needed to look more girly. Lexie got right to work on potty training the girls, who learned quickly. This is always the first priority because toddlers can pretty much raise themselves once they can pee alone. They were both potty trained in no time! Lexie danced with joy. Even the rabbit gnomes were excited. And oops, I forgot to take down the party balloons outside. Look who showed up one day, without her mother's permission? This is Jenny Day, Kyle's eldest daughter. She wanted to meet her father because it's silly to live in the same town as your dad and not even know him, despite what her mother (Marian Day) says. Jenny told Kyle that she'll sneak over here after school on the days her mom works late. Kyle was thrilled. He had chosen not to engage in a custody battle because he didn't want to put Jenny through that. After potty training, it was time to learn how to walk. These girls are super spoiled but Kyle and Lexie are more spoiled because the girls are pretty independent, as long as they have each other. (I use mods to make these cheaty Sims 3 Store items not cheaty anymore in honor of the legacy rules.) Guess who's expecting again? Please be a boy this time! Eat those apples Lexie. I know you don't see Kyle in any of these pictures, but that's because he's been working really hard. He's at level 3 in the music profession, Stage Hand, and has one star of fame. Lexie quickly got to best friend status with both of her girls. Emily loves tickles! So cute. And here's a close-up shot of Minnie just because she's also adorable. It's funny how different twins can be. Even though Minnie is clingy and attention-hungry, she tends to be the leader of the two. Emily is quite independent from her parents, but follows Minnie around like a lost dog. I can't wait to see who these girls become. Lexie is making a bad habit out of going into labor while painting. Kyle had to rush home from work to watch the girls while Lexie drove herself to the hospital. IDK why his brother Stefen (seen below) didn't help out, but Sims aren't usually very logical. Yeah so, it turns out Kyle has an older brother. I love it when there is depth to family trees that I don't even know about. Stefen has a wife named Jackie. She's very pretty isn't she? They have a little boy named Corbin. I think Corbin will grow up to be quite handsome; too bad he's a blood relative to the girls. FYI, I didn't change anything about these Sims in CAS. I only cheated my way into CAS to get a decent picture of each one. I'm in the process of mapping out a complex family tree because I'm interested in seeing how each branch progresses, not just my legacy household. I plan on keeping tabs on all the relatives in town.
New? Start Here. Kyle loves being a daddy; he's always smiling when he's with his baby girls. They both are up and down all night with these cuties. I can't wait to see what they grow up to look like. Lexie has dreams about babies all night whereas Kyle dreams about a vacation. lol! And here's China gnome again, paying his honors to yet another unfinished painting. Suddenly I got a notification that Kyle was aging up today and it felt like the time had gone by so fast. I invited everyone they knew to the amusement park to celebrate. They waited for about 30 minutes by the cake until everyone had cheered themselves hoarse. Why do Sims take so dang long to cheer around a cake? And what was Kyle's birthday wish? More babies. Oddly, he wants another girl but Lexie wants a little boy. It looks like Lexie is pondering the inevitable as Kyle ages up. He's not that old yet Lexie; don't worry. (Please tell me this isn't foreshadowing an early demise or I'll cry). Here's Kyle as a bonafide adult. If you look really closely you can tell he has some lines now and less face pudge, but he really doesn't look much older. Just because he's an old family man now doesn't mean he's lost his dream of becoming a rock star! Kyle gave everyone a great performance. Afterward, Lexie went to find the juice to get blitzed and act crazy. It had been a while since her last attention-seeking escapade. Mission accomplished Lexie... Mission accomplished. Once all the guests left and Lexie was burning off her juice buzz, Kyle took the time to peacefully read a book he'd gotten from his boss. He just needs to read it and he'll get a promotion. Easy peezy lemon squeezy (my son always says that).
New? Start Here. Lexie awoke in the middle of night, on their honeymoon. Puking after woohoo can only mean one thing... baby! It was time to pause the game and use all their recent earnings to expand it into something more appropriate for a baby. I won't bore you with detailed shots of the whole house but I wanted you to see how pretty the view from this lot is! Before she popped into pregnancy clothes and looked horrible, I made them go get an updated picture. I like Kyle a lot; he's super cute, but he has the Technophobe trait, which is really annoying. The rest of his traits are Excitable, Virtuoso, Friendly, and Genius. Right after completing Kyle's portrait (just in time before he ages up), Lexie magically spun into her prego-clothes, which surprisingly weren't horrid. "Cute little nooboo" she cooed to her tummy. And then threw up directly afterward. It was a pretty rough first trimester, with lots of puking. Both mom and dad made it a point to read parenting books in excited preparation. Kyle is always reading something, being a genius and all. He also refuses to watch TV on principle, which Lexie doesn't mind. She's considering getting rid of the television since she's always busy with art and never watches it either. Lexie was always hungry and had to pee every hour. It's hard work growing a Sim! Despite her back aching and her feet swelling, she kept painting throughout the pregnancy. Kids cost a lot of money, or so she's heard. Before anyone knew it, she was screaming in pain in the kitchen, a puddle of amniotic fluid at her feet. Kyle took several minutes to properly freak out, as Sim spouses tend to do. Once he regained his senses, he drove her to the hospital where she had a pretty long labor as far as Sim's labors go (over 5 Sim hours). Welcome to the Jensen family Emily! And welcome Minnie! She had adorable twins, how fun. OK I did buy her the LTR of fertile, I admit it. I'm not sure how "fun" the new parents thought twins were though. These girls kept them both up all night, but mainly Lexie because Kyle has to work at prescribed hours whereas Lexie's schedule is quite flexible. After some rough nights, Lexie decided she needed a day off and left the girls at home with a sitter. She needed to blow off some steam and went out to spray paint the town. What the heck is that Lexie? Even she agrees it's ugly. But as usual, she ended up getting arrested and had to pay a $1,000 fine! That was so annoying because they have so little money. Out of anger, as is her rebellious nature, she snuck back out that night to tag another spot right next to it. This one was a lot prettier. I've been making Kyle learn the painting skill to capture Lexie's portrait before she ages up. He needs a lot of practice. The Chinese gnome Lexie bought at the consignment store seems to be worshiping their paintings, no matter how strange they are. And then there's our Easter gnome; he's always turning on the TV in the middle of the night to watch soap operas. This house is filling up quick!
New? Start Here. Lexie had felt really bad for not giving Kyle a Snowflake Day present, so the very next day she painted him a picture, which they hung above the bed. Aww cute kitty! I really like this painting. After she gave him his painting, she showed him his other present, a sparkly engagement ring. I really wish she could give herself a ring or something. "It's so shiny!" Kyle gasped as Lexie slipped it onto his gloved hand (Sims are so weird). "Of course I'll marry you, Kyle whispered in her ear. "I love you and want to spend my life with you." Lexie smiled from ear to ear. They celebrated in their usual fashion. Can you believe it's already Love Day? Time sure flies when you're young and in love. Lexie loves the egg hunt and found a couple eggs worth $500! In celebration, she danced all by herself, which gathered a lot of attention. Lexie likes to do crazy things to get attention, having always felt abandoned by her mother. She can never get enough attention to fill the void, though. I personally can't stand paparazzi because they stand outside the door and chit chat. They also peek in windows and jeer at Sims, giving them a "feeling unlucky" moodlet. Lexie seems to be loving it. I have NO idea how she gained a celebrity start, maybe her paintings and street art? [Directly after this I installed a mod that makes it quite difficult to become a celebrity]. She got to try out her megaphone on other people. "Loud introductions" generally don't go over well, but Lexie sure got noticed. Any attention is good attention for her. Regardless of my telling her to do other things, she always ended up back on the dance floor. She seemed to be a bit manic that day, but maybe it was just the love in the air. Kyle had just gotten home and gone to bed when he suddenly woke to see "strange lights" outside, and being a Sim, he thought it would be a good idea to go outside and look at them. And that's what you get for your stupidity Kyle. Rule #1 for Sims: Don't go check out strange lights in the middle of the night or you'll get violated by green people. Kyle came back feeling unpleasant sensations in places I'd rather no mention, but he wasn't pregnant at least. I was sort of hoping he would be, but oh well.
New? Start Here. I forced Lexie to get to work on her skills, which she's been neglecting in favor of having a good time. She's been a bit out of control lately. She was able to get the savvy seller LTR so she now makes extra money from consigning her art, though I keep the ones I like. With Lexie's paintings, her Klepto trait, and Kyle's job, they finally saved up enough money to build themselves an actual kitchen. Hurray! But that night, tragedy struck! I hate that your Sim won't fight burglars unless they have the brave trait or are law enforcement. She just stood there looking concerned while the crook stole her shower and sink. I'm glad it wasn't the fridge or the toilet though. The thief got away and the useless police said there was nothing they could do. Lexie wished she hadn't just spent all their money on the new kitchen. Now where would they shower? The next day, to burn off some steam about the burglary, Kyle jogged to the gym to begin working on his athletic skill. (He is no longer autonomous because I officially moved him in). He had a grimace on his face the entire time. It's always the hardest when you just start, but hang in there Kyle. The great thing about the gym is free showers! Lexie got straight to work on paintings to sell to buy a new and better shower and sink. Her painting skill is maxed now so she creates some beautiful and pricey artwork. These sold for over $1,000 each. After his workout, Kyle went to the park to earn some tips to help out. When out of nowhere Lexie showed up and said, "Kyle, why are we waiting? Let's just get married now. We don't have the money for a ceremony anyway." So that's what they did, then and there. And then they publicly ate each other's faces. This picture is eww! It's like they're both trying to suck each other's tongues out. To celebrate they took a romantic balloon tour of the city. I'm not sure why the game wouldn't let them woohoo in the balloon, so they headed home to... celebrate some more. It's their wedding night so I'll give them some privacy. This ended up being their wedding photo. It really captures their current circumstance in life, poor and young, but in love.
The lovebirds awoke early on Snowflake Day morning. It's a wonder they're not freezing to death without any flooring. But they find ways to stay warm. Honestly, they're like rabbits these days, but that's just how it goes when you first fall in love. Kyle excitedly gave Lexie a new paintbrush set, the one she'd been eyeing at the consignment store but couldn't afford. Lexie accepted the gift gratefully but felt guilty for not having bought him anything. She wasn't used to celebrating Snowflake Day because her step-father didn't believe in snowflakes. They had been invited to a Snowflake Day party and for some reason, they both took separate vehicles, Lexie opting to bike in the snow. It is a pretty ride though. What a spread! There's always so much food at these parties that it goes to waste, which makes me sad. I don't like wasting yummy food. After the meal, Kyle and Lexie went outside to play in the snow. "Let's name him Mr. Squiggles," Lexie said with such a serious look on her face that Kyle couldn't stifle his giggle. "Whatever you want hon," he smiled. Kyle had just recently started calling her hon and every time he did, Lexie's heart jumped. After that they took on a serious project, building an igloo, which was particularly difficult since neither of them had made one before. It took them most of the day but they completed it, just as the sun was setting. How romantic. It does seem a bit odd though, to attend a party and spend the entire time outside, away from everyone else. And so they "made it" in an igloo for the first time with a creepy paparazzi hanging around. She looks like she's freezing to death. One can only hope. I'm not quite sure why Lexie came out before getting dressed, but she got laughed at for it. Do you think he's laughing because he knows what she just did in the igloo, or because he thinks she's funny for being outside in her lingerie? Suddenly A wolf howled and the moon came out from behind the clouds... it turns out that Snowflake Day fell on a full moon this year. So things got a bit strange at this point. Some guests turned into zombies and everyone kept on talking and eating, pretending nothing had happened. I saw no need for either of them to be eaten by zombies before our story has even really started, so I sent them home to snuggle up in their little love nest. It was the best Snowflake Day Lexie had ever had, without any fighting at all.
New? Start Here. It always feels a bit pathetic to hang up these seasonal pictures when there's only one Sim in them, but what the hey. Lexie is celebrating her new digs! This is Lexie's shack - er- home. At least she was able to put a roof over her head and stop crashing at the fire station. She got to work decorating the place and earned enough influence to be categorized as a rebel. Wouldn't it be strange if such things happen in real life and suddenly you found a megaphone in your pocket for being a rebel? Lexie started a private protest against inappropriate behavior. Did I mention that Kyle is her new roommate? He needed a place to crash after Marian booted him out and she needed the extra money. So, she invited him to be her roommate if he was willing to pay rent, which he was. (He remains a townie Sim who I cannot control but lives there.) They enjoy peaceful mornings filled with music and art. They might as well enjoy life while they're young and have few responsibilities. Lexie has very little, but what she does have, she treasures. "This is the life," she sighed, looking around her tiny unfurnished home. It was all hers, her very own, which is more than she's ever had. Lexie continues to work hard on her painting skill and sells all her paintings to pay the bills. Now that she has a home, she has bills for the first time, which feels totally weird. The consignment shop is literally next door to her home, which is wonderfully convenient. I wonder if the employee is a cancer patient or something because he always wears something over his head. When she got home she decided to approach Kyle about joining a committed relationship. "Kyle, we're great friends - who uh... kiss sometimes, but I want to be more. Can we take this to the next level?" Lexie asked seductively. Kyle was happy to oblige! The new couple celebrated their "going steady" status with a shower. ;-) After their eventful shower, they sang romantic songs together until the early hours of the morning. Life is good for Lexie here in Aurora Skies; she hardly even thinks about her mother anymore. After they both grabbed some sleep, Lexie asked Kyle on an "official" date for the first time. "Let's go play in the snow!" Lexie squealed. Where she was from, it rarely snowed. Kyle looked at her quizzically, "OK....." He agreed, wondering where this was going. It was a winter wonderland just for them and their blooming romance. They took a picture to capture the memory (and to get some tickets to buy awesome stuff at the festival). For the grand finale, they took a romantic hot air balloon ride over the town, the snow falling down all around them. Lexie's heart fluttered and her stomach filled with butterflies as she gazed at her new boyfriend; she couldn't believe she was so lucky. I have all I need. Lexie decided. The night ended with more kissing in the moonlight. So this is what love feels like, Lexie smiled to herself, feeling happier than she ever had in her life.
