The Jensen Family Legacy
FYI, this story will unfortunately remain unfinished because I no longer play The Sims 3 (due to horrible lag in only my second generation). My Sims 4 legacy story can be found here.
Oh my... it looks like someone may have gotten knocked up again. Pluto is a messy animal but drinking out of a pukey toilet is going too far. EW! Christopher has been having fun with his creepy doll. And everyone's been working hard to teach him toddler skills. Kyle loves having grandchildren. Christopher's childhood is filled with lots of love and attention. Rose is still an infant. She loves hanging out on her baby mat. Emily invited Evan's whole family over one night. "You look like a yeti," Evie said rudely, not pleased to see Paula in her home again. "No, this looks like a yeti," Paula laughed, refusing to participate in their pointless feud. Erin went straight for the juice. She even encouraged her children to drink! There was a reason Emily had invited her over though, and it wasn't going to be pleasant. "Hi, um, Emily is it?" Erin said haltingly. They hadn't spent much time talking before tonight. Emily quickly explained that she and Evan had been having an affair and now that she was pregnant with their 3rd child, she thought Erin deserved to know, even if Evan wouldn't tell her. "How dare you?!" Erin shouted at Evan. "I've suspected something for a while but... three other children? What is wrong with you?" It didn't help matters that Emily had waited to tell her until Erin had several drinks in her. "We're through Evan!" Erin shouted in front of everyone, not at all concerned about how any of this would affect her children. Evan couldn't believe what Emily had done. "How could she?" he moaned to himself. Even though the children had known about the affair, the scene was heart-wrenching to witness. Evie was stuck with this moodlet for a whole two days. After drinking several more cups of juice, Erin followed Emily into her bedroom. "You're a pathetic homewrecker just like your worthless mother, you little slut!" screamed Erin, her breathe smelling just like Lexie's father's used to when he would yell at their mother. Unable to contain her anger now that Erin had attacked her innocent mother, Emily jabbed, "You've done an excellent job of wrecking your own home, Erin. You're a pill addict and a juiciholic. It's no wonder Evan looks elsewhere for love when you're nodded out. I think it's time for you to leave this home, or I'll call the police." Deciding it wasn't worth getting a record, Erin stormed out of the bedroom and bumped into Evan on her way out. "You're a pathetic worthless man who never made me happy. I'm actually glad to be rid of you," yelled Erin, getting in one last stab. None of it was true of course, but it didn't make it hurt any less. Evan was devastated. Next Part

All the adults in the house got this crazy invitation for a free vacation and took off that same night. Evie took it upon herself to throw a juice kegger - because that's what she was supposed to do, right? [She was still trying to figure out this living in the future thing.] Just about the entire high school showed up for the party, including all her siblings. As you can see, the juice keg was a really big hit. Look at this kid's eyes LOL And per usual, everyone paired off to find a room to get up close and personal with each other. Teenagers and their hormones! Evie, not having learned her lesson the first time, decided to check out the "strange lights" outside and was abducted, again. While she was gone, Robin took the opportunity to hit on Evie's sister Paula, who apparently values a good time over family loyalty. In fairness to everyone, they were both juiced, but honestly, Sims don't do things when they're jiuced that they haven't at least considered sober. And the two seemed awfully void of remorse after they had done the deed, so one can only conclude that they are both a bit heartless. All night the party raged on, even in the absence of Evie, who was being tortured on the space craft. Everyone was puking, woohooing, or passing out by the time she returned home. The first thing Evie did upon arriving home was to help Christopher age up. I felt really bad for this poor kid; all the adults just abandoned him for their trip. I liked the hair he aged up into so I kept it. He is eccentric and loves the outdoors. [Yay, another inventor!] :-) Tickle time for cute little brothers! Oh and speaking of siblings... "Everyone said you were all over Robin. I was stupid to ever trust you just because you're my sister!" Evie yelled at an unsuspecting Paula. "Hold on there sissy," Paula sneered sarcastically. "At least I'm not leading anyone on. I've been a nice enough person not to rat you and Robin out to Edmond." "For your information, it's not serious with either Edmond or Robin and they both know it. I just didn't think my own sister would steal a boy I'm dating." Evie felt triumphant, though wasn't entirely sure whether or not Edmond really did know about Robin. "Hmmph," said Paula, brushing Evie aside as if some dust not worthy of her attention. It was an obvious dismissal, so Evie left only to bump into Edmond who had been watching the whole thing. Apparently he had known about Robin and was all too happy that Robin had finally shown his true colors with Evie. "I'd never look anywhere else for love if you were mine," he whispered just before kissing her. More humping ensued on the floor below them, and this time it was Eva Vinter, Jenny Day's daughter - Evie's cousin... with Maria! Well, I would have never guessed. Here is a better picture of Jenny's daughter. She is actually pretty cute. Just then, Emily, Kyle, and Lexie arrived home "early" from their trip. I thought this scenario was supposed to present the opportunity for the police to come or at the very least, get the teen in big trouble with their parents. However, none of the adults seemed to be bothered at all by the huge bash raging into the wee hours of the morning. They just joined in the madness. Well I guess it really shouldn't surprise me with Lexie's rebel side and all the crazy parties she let her teens throw.
It seems that Caveman gnome and the Mech gnome are duking it out. Lexie has been working hard on cloning a Sim. She decided to use her own DNA so she could live on after death. Here's yet another masterpiece Kyle is painting. It's strange-looking but I think many of his pictures looking weird has to do with his mood and traits. Pluto has been catching a lot of animals for the family to sell. He's so cute. I love watching cats sleep on counters. They are so funny! And everything keeps breaking. I think this is the 3rd time the washing machine overflowed. Lexie has gotten to the point that repairing plumbing now makes it permanently fixed. Welcome to the family test tube baby. Maybe we should pick a better name for you... Pluto and the stray's ghost have become good friends. They like talking about their interests and running around. Too bad he mainly only comes out at night though. The stray seems to have made himself at home, sleeping on the furniture and eating Pluto's food. Big sister Evie really loves her baby brother Chris. They spend a lot of time together, which is nice because now there are two babies to take care of. Lexie is thrilled to have a literal mini-me. She named her Rose. It was time to hire a maid, despite most of the plumbing being self-cleaning. The house is too big and there is too much going on. I suspect she's a lush though because she spent a lot of time drinking instead of cleaning. Evie learned how to drive, which felt really weird to Emily. It wasn't that long ago that she was sitting in the driver's seat for the first time. Edmond called and asked if he could come over and Evie didn't want to say no. She still thought he was cute and sweet. She tried to keep it platonic but it was difficult with Edmond's flirting. Not wanting to hurt his feelings, she went along with it, saving him for possible worse hurt later. And then this suddenly popped up and he left. I have no idea what happened, but maybe he realized that she was still dating around.
Meet Henry. Emily found him in the backyard and thought he'd be a fun pet for the kids, well, particularly Christopher as he grows up. Emily took to being a mother (of a newborn) really well. She didn't even mind the long nights, but maybe that was because her work hours are so flexible. Evan came over to meet his 5th child; he was glad to have another son. He also admitted to Emily that he hadn't been fully honest with his wife and she still didn't know about Emily or Chris. Emily took a bath to chill out. It was good to have some time to herself to think. It was hard to believe that Erin (his wife) bought Evan's story of "I traveled back in time and a girl followed me back claiming to be my daughter but I have no idea how that happened." While Evan was over spending time with his kids, she decided to get out of the house. Plus, if she was really honest with herself (which she wasn't ready to be), she was resentful with Evan for not leaving his wife yet, even though they never talked about it. Evie showed her father her violin "skill" (she still sounds terrible) and he played her a lullaby he'd written when his older kids were babies. It also helped Christopher drift back into sleep. Despite the lies, these two have a really strong relationship. Evan is always there for Evie when she calls in tears about boys. Grimmy showed up just then to collect a stray dog. I thought it was pretty sweet how he played with him first. Gosh it's not a normal week without Grim showing up for one reason or another. Pluto was both fascinated and terrified. Meeting Grim reminded him of his own mortality, but it was nice to know how the whole death thing worked. Mr. Reaper made me really nervous when he walked up to Kyle with important business to attend to, but it was a false alarm. It seems that Mr. Reaper feels comfortable enough with the Jensen household that walking into their home uninvited to talk about hotdogs was no big thing. Kyle named this masterpiece "Dude in Boots." Very fitting. He's been painting a lot of masterpieces lately. That night, Robin invited himself over to hang out, which Evie didn't mind. She feels confused about her feelings for him, but she's been enjoying the attention, as any teenage girl would. She kicked his butt in ping pong, but he didn't seem to mind. Despite the chill that's settled over Aurora Skies, the two lovebirds decided to watch the stars. Robin was more of a gentleman than Evie had expected. When it was time for Robin to go home, he admitted, "I really like you Evie." She had heard he was a player, but something about the way he was treating her tonight, a little less cocky than when they were together in public, made her think he was sincere. Before he could ask her to be his girlfriend or anything that serious, she kissed him goodbye. "See you at school Robin," she said in finality as she walked inside.
See, I told you it would rain guys! I hope the inventing gnome doesn't rust too badly. Pluto has only one day of kitten-hood left. Sweet dreams cutie-boy. Emily quickly finished his kitten painting to preserve his cuteness forever. Sparkle-dance time Pluto. Here is Emily with her round belly holding Pluto, all grown up. He doesn't look a whole lot like his mother except for some coloring and the fact that he has different colored eyes. He is built like the hunter he is. I really like his coloring, but I like cats with fluffy fur better. Emily is on the last day of her pregnancy and is so big that she can't see her feet. (Women get much bigger than this in real life.) Kyle and Lexie made out in Emily's room, per their usual inappropriateness. "40 years of marriage and still going strong," Kyle whispered in her ear. "I have a surprise for you." And surprise her he did! He'd built an upstairs, finally, and turned the main area into party central. Evie was just as thrilled to play with all the musical instruments Kyle had saved throughout the years. She took a liking to the Violin. The game-room was also pretty sweet. But she liked the DJ booth the most. She couldn't wait to throw another party. Evie heard Emily downstairs screaming and did the fear dance of labor in place of her father, who was with his other family at the time. Emily patiently waited for a cab, smiling despite the labor pains (apparently, lol). Finally she said, "Screw it," and drove herself to the hospital like the independent woman she is. Welcome to the family Christopher Jensen.
Robin Wong has always been followed around by girls, though none of them quite fit his fancy. He's a bit of a snob and a dramatic diva; his good-looks and social status get him noticed by everyone. Mary Law, Evie's new friend who had showed her where all her classes were, was enamored. But Robin was bored and excused himself from the conversation. Meanwhile, Evie was being chatted up by Edmond Morgan. "Well I'm not sure if I like hamburgers," Evie was answering, "I've actually never had one." "I'd be honored to take you out and buy you your first hamburger then, Evelynn." Edmond invited chivalrously. "I'd love that," Evie grinned stupidly. He's really cute! she told herself. Suddenly Edmond turned on the charm and whispered, "You're the hottest Sim in school." "I am?" Evie felt flattered and a bit awkward. What do I do now? she fretted, trying desperately to not embarrass herself. Edmond pretended not to notice her nervousness and continued on, smoothly. "Yes you are, and your lips are beautiful. I bet they're soft too." Evie's heart fluttered as she stared back at his lips in return. Her tension melted away and she felt brave, emboldened by his words. Without warning, she leaped forward and kissed him, her first kiss - ever. He kissed her back, softly, but ended the kiss after only a few seconds. He wanted her to know he was a gentleman and wasn't going to push her to go too fast. "I'll see you Sunday then. Pick you up at six," Edmond smiled as he walked away. Robin had been watching the interaction and pulled Evie aside after Edmond had left the party. "So is that your new boyfriend?" Robin asked, jumping to the point. "Well," Evie stumbled, shocked that Robin was talking to her. "No, i don't think so. He just asked me out for hamburgers, that's all." "That's good to know since I was hoping to win you first," he admitted, looking deeply into her brown eyes. "Wha... What?" stuttered Evie. She had no idea what to say to that. "Just give me a chance," Robin encouraged. "There's something about you that intrigues me and that rarely happens." "Sure, I guess," said Evie as Robin pulled her towards him. "I want to show you what you'll be missing if you go out with Edmond," Robin said confidently. Without thinking, Evie allowed Robin to pull her into a deep kiss; she melted into him. It wasn't until after the party had ended that Evie thought, what's Mary going to think, and Edmond? Oh I'm so confused. And now she's labeled with "naughty reputation" around town.
Note: In the following 4 pictures of Sims are in the young adult stage because I am using the pictures for my family tree on Family Echo. Kristin is actually an adult and the 2 girls are still teenagers.
Above is Christie Clark dancing with Daniel Jensen. To the right is obviously Macy who is what?! Pregnant?! They are only teenagers. I never should have kicked them out of the house before they aged up. Yup, definitely pregnant, and about to pop by the looks of it. Daniel and Macy were surprised their old room hadn't been touched since they left. So, feeling nostalgic, they woohooed in their old bed. (Technically it was always Nathan's room and bed because Macy was never given her own things. "Hey sis," Evelynne greeted Christie boldly. "I'm glad to finally meet you." Christie, being Good, held her tongue. This wild girl is my new sister? she thought to herself, though decided that family is family. "It's great to meet you little sis," she said, hugging her. "This family is huggy, so you better get used to it." Christie added she added with a giggle. "Your wings are breathtaking. I'm so fortunate to have a sister who's a fairy." Evelynn flattered. "Would you mind sharing some of your fairy dust with me? "Thanks. There was a full moon the night mom had me so I came out a fairy, Christie explained. Evelynn stared wide-eyed. "I didn't know that could happen." "Mom didn't either," Christie laughed. "And dad's always been a bit suspicious, but now he's one to talk, isn't he?" Feeling awkward, Christie changed the subject saying, "Open your hands Evie and I'll give you some dust. Use it wisely though little sister." [The dust allows a Sim to fly/hover instead of run for a short period of time.] Evelynn was so thrilled that she gave her sister another hug, promising to be careful with it. When they broke apart she added, "Evie... I like that." "Great, then you can call me Chris," remarked Christie. Next Evie spotted her brother Fred and introduced herself to him. "What's up bro?" she said, feeling weird repeating the language she'd heard other kids using. "Another sister!" he exclaimed. "I'm surrounded by sisters." Fred smiled sardonically. But seeing Evie's hurt face he added, "I'm the luckiest guy ever. Really" In the way of her sister Chris, Evie hugged him. "It's nice to finally meet you. I've never had a brother before." "I hope I can live up to your expectations," Fred replied half-seriously. "I'm sure you will Fred. I'm just so happy to have family now. It was hard before, being all alone." Evie sighed.
"Well you're not alone anymore." Fred said, patting her on the shoulder. Evie's heart swelled with gratitude. Coming to the future was the best decision of her life. Here's our latest paparazzi. She must be a robot fan... The gnomes are enjoying the pretty Spring weather. I think one gets the Spring gnome (pink with a green hat) when someone gardens, which explains why they have so many. Enjoy the sun while it lasts guys, because Springtime in this town is way too rainy. Evelynn went to find her father and introduced herself, "Hi dad, remember me? I'm the daughter you abandoned in the past." Ignoring her passive aggressive greeting, Evan said, "The one from the time machine, I know. Emily - er- your mother, told me. I already have 3 kids about your age so you'll fit right in. Welcome to the family!" This took Evelynn aback. She was not expecting such a warm greeting. "Mom told me that but said I couldn't meet them yet," she grumbled. "Yeah... well... but, no one else knows about your mother and me," Evan explained. Evelynn nodded her understanding, "I know, mom told me." Silently she added: Well they'll find out about mom soon enough. She was not interested in keeping their dirty secret. "I promise I'll tell your step-mother tomorrow, OK?" Evan said in an attempt to sooth his new daughter. Emily gave Evelynn a makeover to help her fit in better at school. Emily didn't want her to be traumatized on her first day. Evelynn's traits are: Brave, Adventurous, Night Owl, and Excitable. She certainly is brave and adventurous to come to the future to find her parents. Evelynn had her first day at school and made several friends. It turns out she's very outgoing and gregarious. That night Kyle sat down with his first grandchild to explain how the world works. Evelynn was astonished by all the new inventions but caught on very quickly. They finished her history homework in no time. In order to make even more friends and to meet her siblings (and step-cousins), she called everyone she had met that day in school and announced a teen party that weekend. Emily was glad she was adjusting so well. There was a huge turn out and her siblings were thrilled to meet her. They had suspected Evan had been cheating on their mom for a while now and surprisingly, no one was very upset. It was odd how readily people accepted that she'd come from the past. And then this happened. Yup! As if they weren't in enough trouble, Emily is about to have a second child with Evan. He must be very fertile. Emily spun into her maturity clothes and cooed at the little embryo inside. He has every reason to leave his wife now, she smiled hopefully. Next Part Whenever Lexie is out at night, messages like this pop up regularly. The paparazzi ghost has made herself quite at home, though everyone finds her much less annoying now that she's dead. She and Lexie had a nice conversation about recipes over breakfast. For the first time, Lexie decided to try out the digger Sandra had made while she was still living at home. It was really loud! Suddenly the machine stopped and she saw a bright glow in the ground. Had she really dug that deep? Sims logic: When you find a portal to some other land the only thing to do is to just jump in! She has chased by dwarves and narrowly escaped with her life, but she didn't regret the adventure. In the meantime, Evan came over and followed Emily into the time machine. They were traveling to the middle ages to see the awesome castles. Let's hope no one comes home with a plague! They must have really enjoyed themselves because Evan began walking around the lot with a "stride of pride." About an hour later, a young girl fought her way out of the time machine. "Fyew," she said, feeling exhausted. "I finally made it." And then this popped up on the screen! Instant baby - er - teenager. Well she does have Evan's eyes and Emily's lips, but where did that blonde hair come from? Maybe it's Kyle's genes. Apparently her name is Evelyn. Emily ran to see what was happening and bumped into a beautiful young girl dressed like a princess. "Mom, why did you leave me back there?" she demanded. "Uhhh," Emily started, feeling very confused. "If I am your mother, how did you recognize me and how did you follow me to the future.... obviously years after I... gave birth? I don't remember giving birth." She felt even more confused now than she had when she started her questions. "Mom, don't ask me for details because I don't have them. All I know is that I'm here now and I'm your daughter. I want to live with you and dad, together. Please don't send me back," she begged. "Well things with me and your father are complicated. We aren't exactly together, um, well, I mean we don't live together. He lives with his - uh - wife." Emily paused feeling lame. How is this real? she wondered. I'm not a mom. I can't raise a teenager. With unexpected excitement, Evelynn exclaimed, "I have siblings?! This is wonderful. When can I meet them? Where is dad? And wait," she paused to take a much-needed breath, "I have a step-mom?" "Hehe," Emily laughed nervously, "You do, I guess, but you can't meet them, or her, because she doesn't know about your father and me. It's just... well, it's complicated, like I said." Evelynn searched her face, trying to understand. "I can't meet them? I have siblings and I can't even meet them because you and dad are what, having an affair?" Her face showed confusion and judgement. Stunned Emily took a moment to gather her thoughts. "Hmm. I guess we are." She looked away feeling guilty. "Look, let's just talk to your father and see what he's willing to do. He might leave her for us, but I've not asked him yet so..." Emily paused, realizing just how convoluted all of this must sound. "I guess humans never evolved out of such behavior," Evelynn mused, feeling superior.
Emily looked hurt. "Well where is he?" Evelynn rushed forward, not wanting to face the pain in her mother's eyes. Emily and Evan had been talking on the phone for weeks and were at best friend status. One afternoon Emily invited him over to talk because he was having a particularly rough day. "So you said you're thinking about divorce?" Emily inquired. "Well I'm becoming more comfortable with the idea," Evan hedged. He wasn't sure of anything at this point. "Nothing's gotten better and she refuses to go to therapy either for herself of with me. Yeah I guess I feel hopeless about the marriage," Evan admitted. Wanting to console her friend, Emily said, "Well you know I'm always here for you Evan," and leaned in for a hug. Evan unexpectedly snuggled into her. "I know Ems and I really appreciate it. I don't know what I'd do without you." Emily noticed the loving gaze he was giving her and pulled away, surprised. Bluntly she said, "I don't want to be a rebound Evan and I don't want to ruin our friendship." "But you do have feelings for me." Evan stated as a fact, not a question. Blushing, Emily didn't want to lie. "I always have," she admitted. "I have feelings for you too Emily and I don't think I can keep hiding them," Evan whispered, putting his arm around her. Emily's heart pounded rapidly and her throat closed up, silencing her. She felt lightheaded as she looked into he deep brown eyes, and then at his lips. He kissed her gently and tenderly, trying to demonstrate the depth of his feelings for her. At first Emily's mind was filled with overlapping thoughts telling her to stop and insisting she didn't want to, but when Evan began kissing her more passionately, her mind went blank and she lost herself in the moment. "I want you," Evan whispered, grinning suggestively. Despite her misgivings, all Emily could do in return was propose that they might be more comfortable in the privacy of her bedroom. They sat on her bed, snuggling for a little while, both a bit unsure of how fast they were moving. Without warning, Evan turned to her to ask, "I think I am in love with you Ems." He paused, searching her eyes, "But are you sure you want to do this?" Her heart swooned with his ability to remain a gentleman despite his urges, so she said, "Yes, I'm sure," and pulled him onto her to kiss her deeply. This was Emily's first time, but it was all she expected and more. Once the fog of lust had cleared, both of them realized the impact of what they had done. Emily felt a bit foolish for letting her emotions take over her reasoning skills. "Evan," she broached, "Did you mean what you said?" Smiling, Evan said, "What? That I love you?" He paused to chuckle. "Of course I do," he grinned at her, amused with her doubt. Snuggling into him she conceded, "I love you too." "I've got to get back home to my kids," Evan said after they both got dressed.
"Will I see you again soon?" inquired Emily, still feeling odd about the whole thing. He's still married, she berated herself. "Of course," Evan whispered and kissed her goodbye, a lightness in his step that she'd not seen before. One sunny day, Minnie came over to pick out one of the kittens. "It's so great to see you Minnie!" Emily exclaimed. "These cats are cute but they're such a handful." She was glad to be giving one away. Emily was tired of all the cat vomit around the house... Not to mention the pee puddles she stepped in while wearing absorbent socks. Minnie smiled saying, "Yeah well kittens are a lot of trouble, but do you think you'll keep one too? Just one cat won't be as bad." "Yes," Emily beamed. "I really like Pluto. He's independent and doesn't need a lot of attention. He spends most of his time outdoors stalking animals anyway." Pluto is on the right, telling his sister about the bird he saw outside that was too big to catch." He's quite a playful little guy. "Great!" Minnie exclaimed. "And if you're so sick of the others, let's invite the rest of the family over to adopt the rest." Minnie proposed. "Good idea," Emily agreed. She'd been wanting to invite her sisters and their husbands/fiances over for several weeks now. "We need a family reunion," she said, then added, "Though I have to ask Christina if that's OK. They are her cats, technically." Geneva, Emily's best friend since middle school, heard about the gathering and showed up uninvited, but everyone was thrilled to see her. To her right is Ivan Beaker, Christina Jensen-Beaker's husband. Nice flip flops bro. "I am so excited about this party!" Christina gushed. "I already have 2 cats and the neighborhood covenants won't allow more than 3 pets. So, thanks for helping me find them good homes." Emily laughed, knowing how fond her sister is of cats. "Otherwise you'd keep them all wouldn't you?" she joked. Pausing briefly to think about the question more seriously than Emily had intended, Christina agreed, "Yes, I think I would. But Ivan might not like it." Emily laughed and excused herself to speak with Jennifer's husband Jude. "Hi Jude," Emily greeted. "How are the kids... umm.." Emily struggled to remember their names. "Eva, Stacey, and Beverly," Jude interjected. "They're doing great. Beverly is a very calm baby, which has been nice." Mrs. Jennifer Day-Vinter, what on earth are you wearing and what have you and Jude been doing in Lexie and Kyle's bed? I swear, it's like this neighborhood is filled with rabbits. Next Emily greeted Mitch, Sandra's new husband. "Congratulations on pinning Sandra down finally." Laughing Mitch replied, "She was quite the playboy wasn't she? But we're happy now and looking forward to our new baby." Emily had been suspecting that Sandra was pregnant when they rushed the wedding, but she didn't want to embarrass Mitch by telling him that Sandra hadn't officially announced it to her yet. "I'm excited too!" Emily grinned. Christina said goodbye to each kitten as her siblings left with one and was glad to know that all of them were staying in the family. She took Jasmine home, which made everyone a bit sad, but they all knew the day would come.
P.S. This video inspired the title. They force my son and his classmates to watch these videos when they can't play outside for recess. Emily decided to paint a better picture of Christina for the wall. She intends to paint one of each of her siblings (who need a better-looking painting) and create a generational memorial. Jasmine finally had her litter, 2 boys and 2 girls named Jax, Pluto, Daisy, and Grace. Pluto is the one sleeping inside the cat condo and is the one Emily plans to adopt. Christina will come soon to reclaim Jasmine and to pass out the other kittens to friends and family. Jasmine turned out to be a very loving mother and became best friends with all her children within a few days. The Spring Festival was here again, so Lexie and Kyle went to prove that age hasn't slowed them one bit. I swear, they act like teenagers in love sometimes. Kyle, as usual, lost their water balloon match, but he was a good sport about it. Afterward, the couple shamelessly displayed PDA for the world to see. Kyle can't go anywhere without paparazzi following him, but he refuses to let it change the way he lives and acts in public. He proved this with their public woohoo in the all-in-one bathroom. These two are insatiable, but at least Kyle didn't get his face painted this time! "Oh hey Evan," Emily said, hoping he still remembered her name. She'd been pining for Evan ever since they met when she was a teen and he was a young adult, but he wouldn't give her the time of day because he was married with a son. "Emily, right? I heard you graduated with honors. Congratulations! How are things going?" Evan asked enthusiastically. Of course he remembered Emily... and her huge crush on him. "I did and things are going well," Emily started, feeling her nerves getting jumpy. "How's family life treating you?" she asked, trying to remind herself that he's still off-limits. He has 3 children now, 2 girls and a boy, all teenagers; he's about 15 years older than her and has aged up from a young adult into an adult. Evan cleared his throat, seeming to be uncomfortable. Why not just tell her the truth? He thought to himself, after all, he had no one else to talk to. "Well things aren't actually going that great. Erin and I have been fighting a lot lately," he admitted, his cheeks slightly pink. Emily was taken aback at his honesty and felt true compassion for him. "Oh no. I'm so sorry Evan. I'm here if you ever want to talk - just friends ya know?" To his surprise, it felt good to finally share that secret with someone. "I might just take you up on that offer Emily," he smiled. He'd isolated himself without meaning to, but he'd been feeling ashamed of his failing relationship with Erin. Without realizing he was going to do it, he spilled out all the details then and there. He and Erin had been married 12 years, and the first part was blissfully happy. But when his wife was injured in a car crash 1 year ago, things went downhill. She had to quit her job to get on disability, and he'd tried to be there for her emotionally, but all she did was cry or yell. She started taking too many pain pills and laid on the couch watching soap operas for hours. Ashamed of her behavior and his inability to help her, he made excuses for her to their friends who never come over anymore. He was at his wits end and didn't know what to do anymore because he still loves her. Evan stopped to look around. "I can't believe I'm telling you all of this. I just don't have anyone to talk to and I..." Emily cut him him off saying,"No, no it's totally fine Evan. You need to talk about it. I wish I could help somehow, but I'm here to listen, and I care. I'm glad you told me." She reached out to pat his arm, but thought better of it and stepped back feeling slightly awkward. Evan looked up and said, "Thanks Emily. I've got to go but is it OK if I call you to talk sometime? I just... I just really need a friend right now." Smiling, Emily announced, "That would be great Evan, and we can catch up band history. I still don't see why you like The Melons so much."
Evan smirked and shook his head, but instead of responding he walked away knowing that conversation would keep him here for at least another hour. "Later," he called back to her. "We'll talk about it later." Macy has been sleeping even more than usual since she got pregnant. Her pregnancy is the reason Christina left her behind for the time being. She wants her to be in a familiar place when she gives birth. Graduation day for the younger girls came fast. Christina was thrilled, having big plans to become a private investigator. Plus, she and Ivan have been getting pretty serious lately. Sandra, on the other hand, has been playing the field. She didn't even stick around for graduation pictures because she was in a hurry to meet up with Mitch Oss. He wasn't interested in a fling until she became a young adult and she was eager to try out some new lips. Later that evening, Macy met Daniel at the park as he requested. "Hey Dan, what's up?" she smiled, happy to see her best friend again. He'd just gotten off work at the grocery store. "Macy, I know you care about me but lately you've been so busy and I've, um..." Daniel sighed, feeling foolish. Macy smirked, "Just spit it out Danny. I probably know anyway." Blushing, Daniel admitted, "I feel jealous, OK? You have so many friends and I don't. I just need you to know that you're not just a friend to me Macy. You're..." his mouth went suddenly dry; he wasn't sure how to say it. With humor in her eyes, Macy looked at Daniel lovingly. She sighed, this boy can never be replaced for me, then thought to say it aloud. "Danny, you're special to me too....wha?" she paused due to the secretive look on his face. Daniel shoved flowers in her face, interrupting what she had been about to say and taking her off-guard. "Oh my... thanks Dan... they're so pretty!" Macy squeaked in surprise. She had been suspecting his jealousy for a while and now wondered if she'd been cruel to not have calmed his nerves sooner. "Danny I hope you realize that you're not just a friend to me either." "You're the only person I let call me Danny, Macy, and it's because I love you." he said feeling as if he was merely listening to himself say the words rather than choosing to say them. But before he was able to have a full-blown panic attack, Macy beamed, "I love you too Dan, and not just best friend love. Wait, that's what we're talking about right?" Macy paused, feeling self-doubt for the first time. Without hesitation, Daniel pounced, kissing the love of his life for the first time. He felt like he was having another one of his good dreams and could hardly believe he was finally doing this for real. "That answers that," giggled Macy. "You can stop worrying now Danny," she soothed. Macy had always known she was meant for Daniel; it had never been a question in her mind. Silly Danny always worries, she smiled to herself. "I'm so happy," Daniel whispered in her ear. "You were made for me" Macy laughed at the real truth of that statement. Daniel had made her up and made her real. Does't he realize that? she wondered. Per adolescent protocol, they took a kissy-photo to set as their Simbook profile pic. This was the quickest way to announce to family and friends that they were an item - finally. No one was surprised. Within seconds they had messages like, "It's about flipping time," and "Oh I didn't know you weren't already together. Congratulations." and "I thought you guys were siblings..." Elsewhere in town, Emily and her parents were checking out a local bakery that was for sale when she bumped into her senior prom date, Jonathon. Now that he was a young adult, she was surprised to find that she still had feelings for him...
Emily bumped into Minnie at the park where she was enjoying the sunshine and the flashing lights of fame. "Hey Minnie," Emily greeted, wondering if things would change between them now that Minnie had moved out. "I don't want there to be hard feelings between us after... you know..." she let it hang in the air that their mother picked her over Minnie. "Em," Minnie interrupted the awkward pause, "Look, I have moved on OK? Garrett proposed and we're going to get a place together, maybe have some kids." Noticing Emily's still-worried face she added, "I'm happy and I want you to be happy too." Emily's heart beamed. "Well congratulations. Best sisters forever?" she asked, remembering their less-complicated childhood days when they played princesses in the yard. Remembering that happy day, Minnie laughed. "Yes, but just remember that I'm the queen," she added with a wink. Minnie had always been in charge when they were girls and was ready to take back her spotlight no matter who their mother picked as heir. Feeling satisfied, Emily went to play for tips in a local pub. She was loving her new guitar - a graduation present from Kyle. "Hey I'm Adam, and you are?" a cute guy asked her when she finally took a break from playing. A heart filled with butterflies, she introduced herself. This guy is super cute.. why not get to know some new men, she asked herself. (Their attraction rating was 7/10) "Let's go someplace less noisy to talk." Adam invited, and Emily agreed eagerly. The two talked into the night about nothing and everything, such as their childhoods and plans for the future. Emily admitted that she felt overwhelmed by the prospect of being the one to carry on her mother's legacy. After several hours, Emily said she better get home soon and Adam agreed to walk her to her car. "I really enjoyed talking with you Emily," he whispered, their faces close. Minnie's stomach jumped into her throat as she noticed the blue specks in his eyes. I think he's going to kiss me... I want him to kiss me. As their lips met, Minnie felt light-headed and swooned into Adam's mouth, then giggled with the joy of it. "Adam! How dare you?" a woman shouted, causing Minnie to jump away. "I can't believe you would do this to me after all your promises to make things better!" Adam's girlfriend shouted. Emily's heart sank and she felt queasy. How could she have trusted someone new so quickly? They'd just met and she really didn't know Adam at all. Emily glanced at the angry girl next to her. "Good luck with this one; he's trouble and he's all yours," Adam's girlfriend sneered.
Minnie looked at Adam who was quietly examining his girlfriend's feet. "I uh... gotta go." Emily said quickly and turned to walk away. Adam still said nothing. He didn't even watch her go. Emily felt humiliated and committed to not be so quick to kiss the next guy she just met no matter how cute he was. What a disaster, she thought. Now that all the girls have grown into young adults, their pictures have been hung on the wall. I wish the pictures were better but they still count for points. Macy, having just been a little girl for a few days, seemed oddly eager to press forward into her teen years. This is what she looked like off the bat and I thought the face she made was a good representation of her personalty so far. It hardly seems to matter what trait she gained because having the unstable trait means no traits will last very long. But for the sake of the story, she gained the frugal trait. She is beautiful and fits in well to the Jensen family. In my opinion it's sad that she has the unstable trait because I'd like to get to know her, but it's hard when she's never the same person for long. All her traits have changed several times now and I can't keep up. It's Daniel's turn. Let's hope he has some better luck this time with the traits roll. He looks more like Sandra than anyone, I think. To add to his Insane, Grumpy, and Loves the Heat traits, he gained Loves to Swim. They go well enough together, but overall they're pretty lame. Does anyone else feel like preference/favorites traits shouldn't be traits but should be separate (sort of like in Sims 2)? Well at least he turned out quite handsome. That night after all the kids had gone to bed, Kyle kissed Lexie as they remembered their long and happy life. "Have you picked the heir yet hon?" Kyle asked tenuously. It has been a tender subject around the house lately. "I think I have but I want to check one thing before I seal the deal," Lexie said, heading toward the time machine. Grateful Sandra had invented such a helpful tool, Lexie used it to spy on future generations and ensure that her choice was the right one. Lexie rested well that night knowing that Emily would be the best heir to carry on the Jensen name. Emily's life wouldn't be what she expected, but there was no point in ruining the surprises that were sure to come. The next day, all the family except Kyle, Lexie, and Emily were kicked out of the house (and given enough funds to safely relocate into their own place). Emily took over her and Minnie's room and redid it to look more mature, but she still loves purple. I thought I'd compare the generations as we press forward into generation two. Emily looks so much more like her mother than her father, which I hadn't realized until just now. Lexie has officially passed the torch to Emily and thus we come to the end of generation one. I can't wait to see who each sister chooses to marry and what becomes of Daniel and Macy. Don't fret because I plan to follow each family member to some degree now that we're all attached to them.
Enjoying her elderly life, Lexie learned how to can fruits and has filled the house with delicious jams. She should really open a shop of some kind with how much she cooks. Miss. Jasmine is lounging about per usual - lazy trait. She's also clueless and forgets what's she's doing half the time. Her and Christina make quite the forgetful pair. Minnie, having read every book on fishing she could find, headed out to a fishing spot to test out her mother's produce as bait. She stayed out all day, enjoying the warm sun on her skin. It seems princess Jasmine is getting pampered. Jasmine loves attention and basically demands it from anyone she encounters. Just look at these two studious kids doing their homework on a Saturday, though neither one looks very pleased about it. I think Macy is going to be a good influence on Daniel. Jasmine has really taken to Lexie and follows her everywhere. Lexie is as busy as a bee while Kyle's out performing. Kyle hasn't spoken a word about retirement yet, so she figures she ought to be as productive as possible also. Hooray! Minnie caught a fish... the world's smallest fish, but it's a start. She'll need perfect fruit to catch perfect fish for her life wish Perfect Aquarium. Christina wanted to wash her own laundry because Sandra, being so Neat, always does everyone's laundry, but she puts too much detergent in the water and their clothes usually come out feeling stiff. Mmm smells clean, and feels so soft, Christina thought. And surprise! Christina found this adorable laundry gnome in her pile of laundry. Welcome to our growing gnome family little guy. I love gnomes, if anyone can tell - lol. After doing homework, Daniel and Macy played outside, but only for a little while because Macy couldn't wait to rush inside and read the ending of Fluffy Rabbits go to Mars. She has the bookworm trait (for now at least). So far her unstable trait hasn't caused her other traits to change. Despite being on her feet all day, Lexie created her specialty, baked angel food cake, for the party. Yes, another party, but this one is extra special because it's nearly everyone's birthday! The birthdays to be celebrated at this party are as follows: Christina, Sandra, Daniel, and Macy. Guests brought side dishes and nearly everyone they invited showed up. Sandra was excited; she felt mature and ready to be an adult, despite her parents' worries. Everyone's young and carefree... and sometimes dumb... at least once, right? But Christina was slightly more worried. She couldn't believe the day had already come for her to progress into independence and had a lot of anxiety about the whole ordeal. Sandra gained the Loner trait to go with Neat, Artistic, Eccentric, and Easily Impressed. I never saw that coming but it actually goes well with her other traits. She can be a mad scientist alone in her basement, creating friends from metal and scrap. Christina gained the Socially Awkward trait to add to her Genius, Cat Person, Excitable, and Absent-Minded traits. She has all the makings of a weird cat-lady! I can't wait to see what these girls do with their lives.
It had been a long and productive day at the Jensen house. Lexie continues to work on her project of cloning a Sim and has come very close. She's already cloned animals. Before going to bed that night, she admired her life's work and legacy, feeling content. She knew not when death would come to take her away, but she hoped their friendship might buy her more time. If not, she had accomplished her main life goals and was proud of her children. All seemed well as the family went to bed. Little did they know what the strange moon would bring that night. Christina tried to sleep but couldn't, so she continued working on her portrait of Jasmine as a kitten. This was very important to her as no one had taken any pictures. She worked diligently, but kept hearing odd sounds coming from outside and was worried there might be another burglar. Finally she couldn't stand it and went to check it out, but instead of finding a thief, she found glittering lights in the sky. What is that? she wondered, enjoying the beauty of it. The light continued to grow in intensity and she felt oddly mesmerized. Before she knew it, the light fell upon her and she began flying... no... she was being sucked upwards. "HELP!!" she screamed, knowing no one would awake in time to save her. Kyle had spoken about this happening to him once and had warned them all against going outside at night. Sandra had also warned her. Why didn't I listen? she screamed internally. She was sucked into a tiny container in the bottom of a tiny space ship and, without preamble, was whisked off into outer-space. She cried alone in the dark storage hatch not knowing how long she'd be tortured or if she'd ever be back. In the meantime, the paparazzi zombies destroyed the happy flowers. Where is a pea shooter when you need one? I replaced all the flowers and set out some pea shooters, and along came another zombie. The shooters did nothing even when the zombies walked right in front of them. I thought plants were supposed to win. How lame. After several hours, Sandra was returned home, the alien never speaking a word to her. She felt like a lab rat, a specimen not even worth their concern. Mom's alien friend hadn't been so cold-hearted as this. "Why me?" she sobbed to the silent visitor as he walked away, not even glancing back. The traumatic memory of being poked, prodded, and probed would haunt her for the rest of her life. Why do some aliens find it necessary to study Sims without their permission? I'm sure if they asked there would be some volunteers. Sandra thought, feeling helpless and ashamed. She decided to never tell anyone what had happened. [FYI: Victims of trauma often feel shame which causes them to hide their pain.] To make matters worse, a random creepy dude showed up and lit the bonfire without permission. I think he's a piro because he just kept adding wood until the blaze got out of hand. The Jensen's were awoken to his screams as he desperately tried to extinguish the fire. He must have a the brave trait because he was able to put it out before anyone got a chance to call emergency services. When poor Daniel tried to go back to bed, he realized that Macy had stolen his bed. She was probably tired of sleeping on the couch because no one had thought to buy another bed for her. So Daniel went into the other room to have a serious conversation with himself. "Hi, I'm Mr. Pickle and I'm here to tell you that aliens are invading the city. They are plotting to take over the school." Daniel's hand said in a goofy voice. Daniel knew this wasn't true. It was a rumor Mandy at school had started about their teacher, Mrs. Lemon. "That is a lie!" shouted Daniel, who particularly liked his second grade teacher. She always stopped the other kids from teasing him. "You take that back Mr. Pickle or I'll..." "Oh is the little boy threatening us?" laughed Mr. Pickle, rudely interrupting Daniel. "No wonder no one likes you but your imaginary friend. You're a loser and you'll always..." "You shut up!" screamed Daniel, waking the house for the second time that night. "I am not a loser and she's not imaginary. Macy's real and she's my friend and no one will steal her from me." His voice broke on the last sentence. Ever since Macy became real she'd made a lot of friends and spent less time with him. For the first time, Daniel realized he was terrified of losing her. Mr. Pickles was right; she is my only friend, he sighed shakily, holding in the tears that threatened to fall. Then a mean look formed on his face as he decided to show Mr. Pickle who's boss. He burned Mr. Pickles (his hand) in a sink full of hot water and felt better about the whole situation.
Here is a random picture one of the girls painted that I wanted to share with you. I like it! Anyway, the story continues from where we left off, at Lexie's birthday party. Sandra walked into the kitchen to find Corbin and Dexter dancing together. "Hmmm I wonder," she mused, shocked that Corbin had always seemed to prefer females. Maybe he was pretending in order to please his parents, she concluded. His parents were very right winged. Sandra decided to let the boys have some privacy and turned away to watch Emily. She LOVED when Emily played. Emily could be a rock start just like dad if she wanted, Sandra concluded. But then she heard some sloppy sounds behind her and looked back. This seemed to be Corbin's way of coming out to her family, though she wondered why it had to involve so much PDA. Sandra laughed, feeling rebellious. If only his parents could see him now! Suddenly there was cheering in the other room so the girls went to check it out. Apparently Jasmine had decided to make it a double birthday party! Her traits are clueless (basically stupid), hunter, and lazy. She must be the worst hunter ever. Here she as an adult and she is super cute for a game-generated cat. Christina pet Jasmine until she purred loudly. "Who's my good Jazzy? You're so pretty aren't you?" she cooed. Being with her cat made her feel more content than anything else had so far in her life. (Cat Lover trait) After they were done celebrating Jasmine's age-up, mom and dad went to bed, so Sandra went out back to light the bonfire. She threw in some chemicals she'd stolen from Daniel's chemistry set. It was lucky that all it did was sparkle. She could have exploded the house or at the very least, lit herself on fire. I've seen it happen. Sandra then passed around a bottle of nectar she'd snuck out of the fridge. Mom and dad would never know and it was the perfect time to get a little tipsy. Everyone there joined in the fun and they finished the bottle without meaning to. Sandra went to get another. Then she heard an odd commotion inside the time machine and went to look. She saw Corbin and his boyfriend come out with an off-home-lot woohoo stride of pride. These lovebirds are anything but discrete. Feeling light-headed from the nectar, Christina started chatting up Emily's senior year prom date Jonathon, who she always thought was cute. "You know Jon, my sister is too old for you now that she aged up..." she hinted. "Oh um..." Jonathon looked around awkwardly. "Have you had a lot to drink? Maybe we should find your sisters." He was not interested in getting in the middle of sister drama, nor was he interested in pissing off Christina's boyfriend Ivan. "My sisters? Who cares about them!" she snorted and then hiccuped. "I just want to stare into your blue eyes." Jon didn't know what to do; it looked like she was going to kiss him. He still had feelings for Emily despite the fact that she hadn't spoken to him since she graduated high school, though Christina was very beautiful... Christina licked her lips, smiling lasciviously. Just as she leaned in to kiss him they were interrupted by a loud explosion and a scream as Daniel came rushing outside. It's surprising he's still alive with the daily chemical explosions he lives through. Why would you run to a fire just after escaping one Daniel? I stopped trying to understand Sims long ago, particularly Daniel who has the insane trait. At least he saved Christina from a huge mistake, and Jonathan used the distraction to slip away from Christina and leave the party. It was late and the party was winding down. Corbin said goodbye to everyone and confidently strode away from the party feeling like a man. Of course he enjoyed the party! LOL It was fortunate for the girls that their parents had already gone to bed because they missed observing the repercussions of their daughters' drinking. Minnie, I hope you learned your lesson. And Sandra, you pretty much deserve what you got. It was worth it. This party was great, Sandra thought, deciding that being rebellious was more fun than she'd known. Even Jasmine was pooped. Sleep well girly.
Soon after Grim left, Corbin found his way to greet Lexie. "I can't believe you're turning old already," he laughed, teasing his favorite auntie. "Oh yeah?" Lexie teased back. "Well let me just take your DNA to clone a better version of you." Outwardly she was kidding, but she secretly wanted to start messing around with cloning Sims and didn't know who to start with. Emily and Minnie bounced back fairly quickly after agreeing to stop fighting and let mom choose the heir. They've always been best friends and dancing together helped them remember that. Dang Minnie! Bust a move! Christina met Jon Helgason's brother, Dexter, who was very friendly; she couldn't tell if he was trying to flirt or was just being nice. He was nearly as cute as his brother but Christina didn't want to lead him on since she had a boyfriend. "I um... have a boyfriend," Christina said in a rush, blushing at how forthright she was being and hoping she hadn't assumed wrong about his flirting. "Oh that's lovely. So do I." He smirked. It took her a moment but then they both laughed. That answered that question. "Hey you're cute!" Sandra said with confidence, feeling like being risky. "Where are you from new boy?" Shocked, the new boy just stared at this beautiful, blunt girl in front of him. "I'm Kevin - just moved here from Moonlit Falls. And you are?" he queried. "It's a pleasure to meet you Kevin. I'm Sandra. I have to say it's nice to see a new face around here, especially one as cute as yours." Sandra liked this new personality she was trying on and felt a rush of joy as Kevin smiled shyly. This is so stupid Kev, just ask her... "Do you um, like to dance?" he asked tentatively. The two flirted and danced the night away. Everyone had a great time. And Macy continued to work her charm around the room while Daniel moped in the corner, not enjoying having to share Macy for the first time. Did he make a mistake when he made her real? Before anyone knew it, Lexie was blowing out birthday candles for the last time in her life. Aging up wasn't as bad as she had feared. Looking back over her life she realized that she had accomplished everything she'd set out to do. Plus, she wore her new age well, not losing any beauty.
Emily had something important to speak with Minnie about, so she asked her to come into the greenhouse for some privacy. "Minnie," Emily started, clearing her throat of nerves, "Mom has been talking about picking an heir, someone to inherit the house and continue the Jensen name." Where is this going? Minnie fretted internally. Emily had always been so nice and... well, a pushover, until recently. "And I think I should be the one to in inherit our legacy because I have the most skills and accomplishments." Emily smiled, trying to stay assertive. "What?!!" Minnie exploded. "Why on earth would you think that's OK to rub in my face. If you think you're going to steal the throne from me you are out of your mind." Minnie's face was flushed and she was visibly sweating. Emily backed away, knowing that Minnie's temper was nothing to fool around with. Trying to smooth things over she added, "I'm sorry Minnie, I just thought that you might understand." she stammered. "I just want what's best for..." Minnie scoffed in disgust. "You think you're so great Emily but you're not. You're just a suck up and a goody two-shoes. Enjoy your success in high school because it's all you'll have to live on for the rest of your life." Minnie knew how to cut Emily deeply. Emily was stunned into silence. Avoiding Minnie's angry gaze, she excused herself and walked away with a pain in her heart. That went a lot worse than I expected, she told herself, regretting the interaction. After Emily left, Minnie allowed herself to burst into tears. She felt bad about saying such hurtful things but felt she had to to protect her own hurt inside. As a child, she was the one in charge, but ever since high school, she's been lost in Emily's shadow. Meanwhile, another paparazzi bit the dust in the front yard. Though she seemed to be content with the timing. And here is ole Grimmy... I think she interrupted his vacation or something. Duty calls though. This is what a blissful goodbye to life looks like at the end of many fulfilled years. And then Grim just invited himself in. Lexie didn't mind though, her party was about to start. Macy made it a point to meet some kids her age, since the only person she knew was Daniel. "Hi, I'm Macy," she smiled her charming smile. "I used to be an imaginary friend." And instantly she was popular among both the boys and girls. Lexie and Grim caught up on old times. It turns out Kelly (the so-called skank) is also a werewolf. Who would have guessed? Lexie was doing so well until she asked Grim if he could prevent her from aging up. "How dare you try to take advantage of our friendship," he spat. "You know I can't do that!" Grim stormed off into the other room to make some new friends leaving Lexie feeling sheepish.
As Lexie and Kyle age, their bedroom collects more and more memories. I love that you can take/display pictures in Sims 3. Lexie has been hard at work upgrading everyone's umbrellas... with a screw driver. Mmmk... Emily is such an over-achiever, now honing her athletic skill with Christina's assistance. They played until they were exhausted and then fell into bed. In the early hours of the morning, a burglar attempted to commandeer some of the Jensen's belongings. This is why I put the alarm on the outside of the house, so burglars never get a chance to swipe anything and there's no chance of them getting away. Officer Oss quickly came to the rescue and kicked butt! But all the family members were more concerned with the annoying alarm that rudely awoke them than the burglar. Sims tend to make little sense. Lexie invited Officer Oss inside to thank her for the good work. "That was incredible! Thank you so much for saving my home and family." Lexie gushed. "It's just my job ma'm," Oss said, hiding a blush of pride. "Yes but you are my favorite officer, especially since you stopped arresting me a couple years ago. How would you like to come over for dinner on Saturday?" Lexie beamed. "That is so kind Lexie," Oss smiled. "I'll be there for sure. You have a good night," she said, walking out the door into the dark night. It never hurts to have friends in the police force when you're a vandal. The next day, Daniel was having a typical day with Macy, playing with chemicals unattended and having near-death experiences. "Finally!" Daniel shouted after several hours of explosions and singeing. At first Macy was reluctant to drink anything Daniel made, remembering when he made her pee her pants. But with some coaxing and promises of making her a "real girl," Macy downed the magical potion in one giant gulp. Here goes nothing, she thought. Welcome to the family Macy! You are as beautiful as anyone. I was happily surprised at how gorgeous she turned out to be. Daniel just stood there, mouth agape, in shock that it actually worked. "It worked! It worked!" he shouted when he'd found his voice again. Suddenly Macy lunged at him for a hug. "Thank you so much Daniel! You're my bestest friend for always," she grinned into his shoulder. Then she pulled back with a quizzical look on her face. "You knew it would work didn't you? I wasn't in any danger, right?" Daniel looked abashed and Macy shook her head in mock disappointment. "Well at least it all turned out OK. Now let's go tell your parents," Macy smiled, seeing Daniel's worried expression.
Her traits are: bookworm, good sense of humor, and unstable (which means her traits will change every so often). I couldn't have created a more beautiful imaginary-friend-turned-real if I had tried. Has anyone else noticed that imaginary friends generally turn out to be pretty good-looking? Sandra and Daniel have been putting a lot of time into their hobbies, but every hard-working Sim needs a break sometimes. So, Christina invited Sandra out for a day of fun. Finally the annoying rain has stopped and it really looks like Spring around town. Both girls enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and chatting with townies. Does anyone else get mad when they see townies picking up eggs too? I want them ALL! It's like Christina has cat-radar; she always finds one wherever they go. They danced until it was time to go see a concert; their dad had free tickets for SnoopyDog because he knows the guy. They had a blast. Meanwhile, back at home, Lexie and Kyle are getting cozy in Daniel's bed. These two autonomously woohoo nearly every day! I have no idea why Lexie and Kyle thought making woohoo in Daniel's bed was a good idea, especially because he was still home working on his potions. Lexie is getting older, but that doesn't keep her from expressing her rebellious nature. She protested cheating and broken hearts, which this Sim was rather annoyed by. I am honestly not sure why these two Sims decided to walk up and stand directly in the line of fire, but I figured it was their choice to ruin their clothing. Due to Minnie's lifetime wish, and her new profession of an angler, she has been learning everything she can about bait and fish types. Emily is now a self-employed author and continues to crank out novels as fast as she can, though she still enjoys painting. And now that they are adults, I was finally able to add their young-adult pictures to the wall. Does anyone know why pictures are often odd colors? I know it can have to do with traits but my Sims don't have the needed traits to make it tinged funny. "Thanks for taking me out today Chrissy; I really needed it." Sandra said, hugging her sister. "Yeah I thought so Sandy. You've been working really hard trying to invent that robot-thing. I was starting to worry about you." Christina smiled, her face looking mischievous. "Did you know Matt was kissing Kelly in the girl's bathroom yesterday after school?" she asked, feeling gossipy. "No!" Sandra said, shocked. "Well actually I can't say I'm surprised; Kelly is a bit of a skank," she added with a smirk. "So I saw this thing on Simtube," Christina said, abruptly changing the subject. "It's called the cinnamon challenge." And before she knew it, Sandra was shoving a whole spoon of cinnamon in her mouth. You know that some people have choked on this challenge? Bad idea... Sandra became a steam spout. Apparently it was unpleasantly hot; go figure. "Aaack!" Sandra yelped after spitting the cinnamon all over Christina's white shirt. (It serves her right). "I think I just had an out of body experience," Sandra said breathily. "Mind. Blown." she smiled. At least both were able to laugh it off. I can only imagine what these two will get into if they ever go to college.
Later that night, Kyle had his birthday, which was a surprise because everyone, including himself, had forgotten about it. This was likely a defense mechanism though it didn't save him from old age. He is one of the best looking old Sims I've seen, likely because he didn't end up losing his full head of hair. Later that week, Christina brought home a kitten she named Jasmine. A friend from school had extra and so she decided to adopt one (without asking her parents). Christina was lucky that Jasmine was a cutie or else her parents would have thrown a fit. Everyone was excited to welcome a new family member and they went out to buy cat supplies. She's so tiny! I love cats :-) At the end of the week, Emily (pictured above) and Minnie graduated from high school. Unfortunately it was a horrifically rainy day, so nice graduation pictures were nearly impossible. Emily, the overachiever, was the class Valedictorian and was voted most artistic. She also received a ribbon from winning an art contest. Minnie on the other hand, merely graduated. You can imagine the resentment that followed. Once they got home, all the girls posed pretty in their formal wear. In order: Sandra, Christina, Minnie, Emily. When the whole family posed for pictures, Lexie's heart was filled with joy knowing that she and Kyle created all this happiness from literally nothing. The gnomes had their own celebration in the backyard. I don't remember how I got the witch gnome, but I bought the Mech Gnome (middle with red helmet) and the Caveman Gnome at the consignment store. Sandra made the Magical Gnome of Invention. Right after pictures, the oldest girls headed to their new garden in their dress clothes and shoes. It seems they were too excited to change. And also in his dress clothes, Daniel went outside to play. The first potion Daniel has learned is Bladder Flow. He mixed it into a drink for Macy. "I've got something for you," Daniel chuckled, handing her the bladder flow mixture. Macy, being extremely trusting and naive, drank it thinking nothing of his snickering. Shortly thereafter, Macy wet herself and Daniel laughed with malice at her embarrassment. He doesn't have the evil trait but he sure seemed to get a lot out of pranking her. Poor Macy was humiliated and started to cry. And here's the weird part... Minnie came over to scold Daniel for being so cruel, even though he's the only one who can see Macy (this really happened in-game and it makes no sense, I know). He was lucky that Minnie let him off the hook so easily. He's the baby of the family and pretty good at manipulation.
After coming in from playing in the snow, Daniel saw Macy sparkling and seemingly aging up. Hmmm was all he thought "Hey Macy," was all he said. Macy, on the other hand, seemed to be rather shocked about the transformation. "I'm alive!" She proclaimed, as stunned as Daniel should be. "How did that happen?" she asked. "I don't know," Daniel said without interest. "Do you wanna play?" Macy, not knowing what else to say just said, "Sure." Having the insane trait causes Daniel to not be surprised or impressed by much. He and Macy played until bedtime, weirding everyone out because he was the only one who could see her. Macy wondered if she was just a figment of his imagination, though she certainly felt real. That night the green men visited the Jensen house again, this time to research Kyle's offspring. The only witnesses were the gnomes, who really don't speak much. Despite being quite impressed by the spacecraft, Sandy said, "You know that was pretty rude. Next time you want to probe me, you could just ask nicely." The alien seemed taken aback and muttered to herself, "Strange creatures," as she walked back to her ship. The next day was Saturday, so the kids went off in their separate directions. Lexie decided to try out some new recipes she'd learned and made a delicious pizza that was eaten so fast that it never had a chance to cool. Kyle found his way to the festival again and before I knew what was happening, this was on his face. This is an extremely strange quirk, Kyle. Embarrassed by her father, Minnie said, "I'm sorry my dad is such a weirdo. We don't have to stay at the festival; we can walk around." "That sounds like a good idea. I've been wanting to get you alone all day," he said provocatively. Minnie blushed and then he kissed her. Their choice of locations to make out wasn't all that private, but pretty soon they didn't even notice their surroundings. Minnie insisted Ivan update his Simbook profile picture with a picture of them together. Though he didn't want to, Minnie eventually got her way. She wanted to remember their teen years because the very next day was her birthday. Lexie and Kyle agreed to another teenage party, but only if they locked the bedroom door and knocked down the igloos. The girls all had a blast dancing with different boys and gossiping with friends. The time flew by and before she knew it, Emily was blowing out her candles, hoping she was ready for adulthood. There's no going back now, she said to herself, feeling panicky. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful game-born Sim before. Emily gained the Born Saleswoman trait to add to her Artistic, Virtuoso, Green Thumb, and Bookworm traits. All of her traits were completely random but work perfectly together. Unlike Emily, Minnie wasn't nervous at all. She (thought she) knew she was ready for adulthood and was in a hurry to experience it. Minnie gained the Dramatic trait to add to her Neurotic, Loves the Outdoors, Angler, and Green Thumb traits. The dramatic traits fits her quite perfectly I think. They both turned out gorgeous.
Minnie had officially stolen her once good friend's boyfriend. She and Garrett met up at a club downtown that had Karaoke and a dance floor (with weird green lighting). "Hey good-looking," Minnie greeted, her stomach filled with butterflies. She had never felt this way about anyone, which is why she couldn't not steal him from Eliza. It's not that she didn't feel bad, because she did, but she also didn't regret it. Minnie tends to take what she wants. "Hey yourself," Garrett smiled, pulling Minnie close to him. "Is it crazy how fast we're moving? I mean we just met 2 nights ago and I already want exclusive rights to you." Minnie laughed, "Exclusive rights? What a romantic way to ask me to ..." Minnie paused, not sure if that's what he meant. "Be my girlfriend?" Garrett interrupted confidently. Minnie smiled wide and kissed him in response. "I assume that's a yes." Garret laughed, and Minnie nodded. Suddenly they heard some inappropriate noises coming from upstairs. "Are Gilbert and Regina here?" Minnie wondered. "Oh man I hope not," breathed Garrett. "It's like they can't see all the uncomfortable people around them." This is what they saw upstairs, though it turned out to be no one they knew. They decided to leave anyway. They kissed goodbye, both giddy with their new relationship. Minnie couldn't wait to update her Simbook status to "in a relationship." Teens in this day and age seem to announce everything in their lives on Simbook. "You're beautiful Minnie. I'll see you tomorrow at school." Garrett said, being as romantic as he was able. On the whole, his personality is pretty Unstable so you never know what you're going to get. It's just like Minnie to fall for a kid like that. Minnie arrived home to see everyone studiously busy working on their hobbies. This is another awesome painting of Emily's. That night, someone left the deep fryer on with hot oil and a fire started. It was extremely terrifying for the whole Jensen family, who stupidly rushed towards the flames to freak out. Thank goodness for the fire alarm. Nothing more than a counter and the deep fryer were lost, but Lexie was devastated. "We'll fix the kitchen hon, don't worry," Kyle reassured her. "I can't stand to see you sad." Lexie looked into his eyes realizing how lucky she had been to find him and how rare such a loving marriage was these days. "All I need is you Kyle," she said softly and kissed him.
