The Jensen Family Legacy
FYI, this story will unfortunately remain unfinished because I no longer play The Sims 3 (due to horrible lag in only my second generation). My Sims 4 legacy story can be found here.
Emily decided to paint a better picture of Christina for the wall. She intends to paint one of each of her siblings (who need a better-looking painting) and create a generational memorial. Jasmine finally had her litter, 2 boys and 2 girls named Jax, Pluto, Daisy, and Grace. Pluto is the one sleeping inside the cat condo and is the one Emily plans to adopt. Christina will come soon to reclaim Jasmine and to pass out the other kittens to friends and family. Jasmine turned out to be a very loving mother and became best friends with all her children within a few days. The Spring Festival was here again, so Lexie and Kyle went to prove that age hasn't slowed them one bit. I swear, they act like teenagers in love sometimes. Kyle, as usual, lost their water balloon match, but he was a good sport about it. Afterward, the couple shamelessly displayed PDA for the world to see. Kyle can't go anywhere without paparazzi following him, but he refuses to let it change the way he lives and acts in public. He proved this with their public woohoo in the all-in-one bathroom. These two are insatiable, but at least Kyle didn't get his face painted this time! "Oh hey Evan," Emily said, hoping he still remembered her name. She'd been pining for Evan ever since they met when she was a teen and he was a young adult, but he wouldn't give her the time of day because he was married with a son. "Emily, right? I heard you graduated with honors. Congratulations! How are things going?" Evan asked enthusiastically. Of course he remembered Emily... and her huge crush on him. "I did and things are going well," Emily started, feeling her nerves getting jumpy. "How's family life treating you?" she asked, trying to remind herself that he's still off-limits. He has 3 children now, 2 girls and a boy, all teenagers; he's about 15 years older than her and has aged up from a young adult into an adult. Evan cleared his throat, seeming to be uncomfortable. Why not just tell her the truth? He thought to himself, after all, he had no one else to talk to. "Well things aren't actually going that great. Erin and I have been fighting a lot lately," he admitted, his cheeks slightly pink. Emily was taken aback at his honesty and felt true compassion for him. "Oh no. I'm so sorry Evan. I'm here if you ever want to talk - just friends ya know?" To his surprise, it felt good to finally share that secret with someone. "I might just take you up on that offer Emily," he smiled. He'd isolated himself without meaning to, but he'd been feeling ashamed of his failing relationship with Erin. Without realizing he was going to do it, he spilled out all the details then and there. He and Erin had been married 12 years, and the first part was blissfully happy. But when his wife was injured in a car crash 1 year ago, things went downhill. She had to quit her job to get on disability, and he'd tried to be there for her emotionally, but all she did was cry or yell. She started taking too many pain pills and laid on the couch watching soap operas for hours. Ashamed of her behavior and his inability to help her, he made excuses for her to their friends who never come over anymore. He was at his wits end and didn't know what to do anymore because he still loves her. Evan stopped to look around. "I can't believe I'm telling you all of this. I just don't have anyone to talk to and I..." Emily cut him him off saying,"No, no it's totally fine Evan. You need to talk about it. I wish I could help somehow, but I'm here to listen, and I care. I'm glad you told me." She reached out to pat his arm, but thought better of it and stepped back feeling slightly awkward. Evan looked up and said, "Thanks Emily. I've got to go but is it OK if I call you to talk sometime? I just... I just really need a friend right now." Smiling, Emily announced, "That would be great Evan, and we can catch up band history. I still don't see why you like The Melons so much."
Evan smirked and shook his head, but instead of responding he walked away knowing that conversation would keep him here for at least another hour. "Later," he called back to her. "We'll talk about it later."
