The Jensen Family Legacy
FYI, this story will unfortunately remain unfinished because I no longer play The Sims 3 (due to horrible lag in only my second generation). My Sims 4 legacy story can be found here.
New? Start Here. Lexie was a bit shocked to find out that Kyle had a baby daughter and just stood there dumbfounded for a while. "I... I don't really know what to say Kyle," she began. "I can't believe you Kyle! You're a lair and a cheater," Marian yelled, walking up unexpectedly. "I saw the whole thing!" Marian yelled, ignoring Lexie for the moment. Kyle looked ashamed and mumbled, "Sorry Marian I just..." "There is no excuse for betraying me like this Kyle. We're through! You don't deserve me or Jennifer." Spat Marian. "You just throw us away like we're nothing to you." "Oh come on!" Kyle said, raising his voice. "I've done everything you wanted but I can't keep living like this. We both know this hasn't been working; I feel like your prisoner." "You're the reason this hasn't been working Kyle!" Marian yelled as she slapped him. "We're over and you will never see your daughter again. It's just like you, to trade your family for a trashy Sim like her," she sneered, looking at Lexie. "Excuse me?" Lexie interrupted. "I'm sure you weren't referring to me." Internally she felt a heavy guilt. She didn't know she had been breaking up a family, even if they were an unhappy one. "Oh, the homewrecker speaks," Marian shouted at Lexie. "Of course I was talking to you and what are you going to do about it huh? Chicken!" She dared bravely. Lexie's guilt made her lash out in anger; she never wanted to be a homewrecker. Giving Marian the dirtiest look she could muster, she slapped her right across her face and yelled, "You're the one who can't keep your man happy, not me." Without another word, Marian jumped her and the fight was on. Kyle, who's dream is to become a rock star, took the opportunity to grab some cheap fame by composing background music to the brawl. It attracted quite a few people. Unfortunately, Lexie has no athletic skill yet and thus lost the fight. Her back hurt, but it was mostly her pride that was injured. Marian, like an angry child, just stood there, mutely staring at them both. So Lexie and Kyle shrugged and started building a snowman. If it were me I would have left but who knows what makes Sims tick?

New? Start Here. Spooky Day had arrived and Lexie went to another party. This is her critiquing all the artwork in the house, which gives her a "feeling important" moodlet (hilarious). This is from the Avant Garde trait. After getting bored of judging everything, Lexie joined the group playing video games. Oh look, it's Kyle! He seems to be feeling a bit embarrassed being caught in this hilarious costume. Well you wore it dude. For a joke, Lexie dared him to divide by zero. Who knew this would happen! It's a good thing Lexie always carries a fire extinguisher in her back pocket. She saved the day! Needless to say, Kyle wasn't too happy about the whole situation, but fortunately he didn't blame Lexie. She had no idea numbers could cause a fire! Nonetheless, a bit of time passed before Kyle spoke with her again. Before long, the Winter Festival had arrived and Lexie tried her hand at snowboarding for the first time. Little did she know this day would end better than she could have imagined. Lexie took a break from the festivities to munch on some gingerbread. Yummy! Oh look, it's that cheater Nathan who looks way too similar to Kyle. Lexie let him know that she's not interested in his advances and suggested he go home to his family. "Er Kyle, is that you?" Lexie asked. "Why did you get your face painted to look like a clown?" she asked, though Kyle had no explanation other than, "Why not?" This guy sure does know how to create awkward moments... OK, so Kyle is a bit of a weirdo, but at least he's attracted to her and Lexie has a massive crush on him. Despite Kyle looking like an idiot, Lexie laid on the charm and compliments. She was determined to make this boy her own. They flirted until they were both freezing. Lexie was working up the courage to make a bold move. Finally Lexie, filled with the seasonal spirit, confessed her attraction and kissed him in the snow-filled night. It couldn't have been more romantic. "I know this sounds sudden," Kyle said tentatively, "but I think I'm falling in love with you. I've wanted you since the day we met, back in summer." Before Lexie was willing to take the next step however, she wanted some answers. "But you had a girlfriend this whole time, why?" Kyle sighed and warned her it would be a long story, but Lexie persisted. "Well, I have a daughter named Jennifer. It was a juiced one-night mistake that turned into an obligation. I've never loved my girlfriend - er - Marian, but the only way she would let me see Jenny was if I moved in with her and took care of them. I'm really sorry I never told you Lexie." Kyle finished, looking sheepish. "I've wanted YOU since the day we met last summer, but after I knocked Marian up, I felt like I had no choice."
New? Start Here. Before Lexie knew it, it was fall, her favorite season, and she was still living in the fire station. The seasonal air filled her with mischievous feelings. Lexie has always loved playing dress up and going around pulling pranks on others - anything to stir up trouble. She also loves making Jack-o-Lanterns and helped herself to a free pumpkin just lying around for anyone to steal. At the festival she met Eva who is actually not dressed up. She just got off work and Lexie was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. They giggled about some of their more clever stealing sprees and exchanged burglary tips. She heard Nathan's voice and swirled around to see him holding his daughter Wendy. That was a shock; she knew he was married but didn't know he had a kid. And the guy was still flirting with her, his wedding band displayed openly. And, doing all of this while holding his daughter - in public! No thanks cheater, Lexie thought as she excused herself from the conversation. Lexie found a vacant lot for sale and without thinking it through first, bought it. Though it left her with very little money to buy much else. The first thing she did at "home"? Lexie the ever-practical minded, carved a pumpkin, giving no thought to how on earth she could build her own home without any money. Lexie stood there in the rain all alone, just her pumpkin and her, thinking about what to do next. She was drenched and felt lonely. I wonder what Kyle is up to, thought Lexie. So she stalked, er tracked down Kyle at a bar/entertainment venue where he'd just played a show. They chatted for a few hours until he wandered off complaining about having to pee so bad he might wet himself. While she waited for him to return, she thought she'd have a drink at the bar... and this is what she saw. This place seems kind of dull if patrons have to bring books to read at the bar, Lexie thought, deciding to avoid the studious crowd. She bumped into Jon who, despite being married, seems to be crushing on her big-time. He eagerly approached her to say that he'd seen her going into the art museum and loves art too. While Lexie usually would have been interested in some innocent conversation about art, she was so disgusted with married men being so eager to cheat that she turned around and walked out of the venue. I'll just talk to Kyle later. The next night Lexie was invited to her first party in Aurora Skies and was thrilled. Only the party was quite lame, filled with flower-giving for some weird reason. This is Stuart, who is also married, hitting on Lexie despite his wife being at the same party. Immediately after that, Stuart's wife gave him flowers, seemingly begging for his attention. But in response to this loving gesture, he turned to Lexie and began openly flirting. At that point, his wife slapped him and walked out the front door leaving him to find his own ride home. Drama! [I'm not making any of this up] Lexie turned around to get hit on by yet another guy at the party. "What is with men?" Lexie thought, "As soon as I have decided I'm unavailable they swarm me like flies on honey." She doesn't even have the "irresistible" LTR. Lexie got back to the station late that night, yawning, but before bed she worked on a couple paintings to sell. She really needs to build a shack to live in to get out of the fire station. Well, maybe some practice is needed but she'll get there. For now her paintings only sell for around 30 simoleons a pop, but at least it's some income. Honestly, she's made more money walking around collecting things like flowers. [Did you know simoleons were an actual currency?]
New? Start at Gen 1 Part 1. One night Lexie decided to go for a stroll through the town and she heard some spookie music. This is what she saw! That ghost was toast! She was glad of it since she didn't like ghosts very much. What a beautiful night for a swim, Lexie thought. And it's a good thing everything around here is free! Pretty soon a handsome guy named Jesse Clark showed up and started watching her swim, so she got out to say hello. This town is filled with attractive Sims. They made their introductions and chatted for over an hour. Feeling attracted to him and wondering if he felt the same, Lexie thought it might be time to try an amorous hug. But she hadn't asked if he was single beforehand. "Oh I'm married," Jesse cried out as he jumped backwards. They stood there momentarily, feeling awkward, until Jesse said he should get home to his family. When she arrived back to the fire station, she met Nathan, who was also quite cute and friendly. I don't think Lexie has met a guy she's not attracted to (seriously, floating hearts with everyone). Can you say daddy issues? Nathan is in his late 20s, which isn't too big of an age gap. He's a firefighter and told her she's welcome to stay as long as she needs to. However, Lexie began wearing out her welcome by being a total slob and leaving it for others to deal with. She did fix the shower though, which was nice of her. Her mother had always been rather handy out of necessity - no money and no one else to do it. Lexie had picked up a lot from her. The next day Lexie wanted to visit the art museum to further distract herself from being homeless, and guess who she bumped into? Kyle! They talked and talked but it turned out that Kyle had a girlfriend. How could I have forgotten ask the all-important 'are you single' question, she berated herself, making a mental note to ask that to everyone she met from now on. But after Kyle left, she realized that she really did have feelings for him and decided to not feel guilty about breaking up a dating relationship. They weren't married with kids after all, so he was fair game.
New? Start at Gen 1 Part 1. Lexie spent the entire morning at the festival, and when the afternoon showers came, she remained determined to distract herself from her anxiety and fear. Once the weather settled down, she pulled out one of the few possessions she had brought with her, her old and well-worn acoustic guitar. Her music drew a few people near so she took a break to make friends. She met Sally, who was the manager of the grocery store in town. And she met Kody, who was in the military. In the back of her mind she held the desperate hope that starting a romantic relationship would solve all her problems, which is to be expected with her attachment disorder. He's not bad looking, but he was in his late 30's - much too old. Next she met Katie Lemon, an elementary school teacher who seemed nice enough... until she went into labor then and there! Lexie quickly called emergency services who told her to drive Katie to the hospital, but she had no car. Thinking quickly, Lexie flagged down a taxi and they were on their way. Some first impression you made Katie! Lexie rushed her into the hospital and the nurse let her stay in the room, even though she'd only just met Katie. Little Tommy Lemon was born without any problems, though his father never showed up and Lexie didn't want to pry. Lexie ended up with the "it's a boy" moodlet for a day, as if she was the other parent. Very strange! After her eventful day, Lexie went back to the fire station only to find that someone else had the same idea about the free food and entertainment that the station offered. Though her new friend passed away within the hour. Maybe I shouldn't eat the bread and jam here, thought Lexie. Grim was creeping her out so she went downstairs and bumped into a hottie name Jon. Hello handsome! Unfortunately he was about 30 years older than her and married. Lexie isn't the type to break up a happy family, having grown up in a broken home. The next day, still pretending to be carefree and responsibility-less, Lexie took a swim in a nearby pond. Wow this town is gorgeous, she observed, for the first time feeling content with her decision to move. She was a bit thirsty after her swim and found an empty coffee house/restaurant nearby. Per her usual manners, she helped herself. Before she knew it, a bunch of townies showed up for some fun and she got to meet even more potential suitors. This is Billy Cragg; he owns a farm just outside of town. And she met Lizzie, who was new to town too. She had just completed college and had accepted job offer from the Newspaper Company. Lizzie asked a few questions about where Lexie was from but Lexie wasn't very forthcoming about the details of her move. She wanted to put the past behind her and start fresh. Then a very good-looking man came up to Lexie introducing himself as Kyle. He was passionate about music and wanted to make it big one day. Lexie found herself staring at his lips as they spoke. He's definitely the cutest townie man she'd met and he was only a few years older than her. Showing off, Kyle sang her one of his original songs. He's actually really good, Lexie realized. She joined in, wanting to improve her own guitar skill, and he happily played with her into the night. Lexie was very attracted to Kyle, but still wanted to meet new people.
